A flash tour in my new car, from Chennai to Munnar. Had no bookings, with some gut-feeling I landed in Munnar on a Thursday. The first hotel, I entered for booking was Raahat Inn. I was looking for a decent hotel, and this definitely satisfies the criteria.
The room rent was very normal it was near to Rs.1500/- for a three bed room. The room was nor spacious, neither too small. This hotel doesn't have a lift for it's three floors. Unfortunately the three bed room suite's are available in third floor. Cleanliness is good. Car parking is there, but there is a risk. When you park your car, it's nose has to touch the narrow connectivity road, hence prone for accidents or scratches. Room service is average. Hot water facility is from 0700 to 2100. Genset facility is there, but the hotel guys are using it only at nights.
Certain plus points, this hotel is right in the heart of city, when you step down, you have Saravana Bhavan (Veg) hotel, surrounded by auto, taxi stand ATM and huge market. This is the Center Point to move on all three directions for tourism.
Huge car parking zone
Kids play area
Swimming Pool etc.,
Overall verdict: Appropriate for a stay with friends and family if your soul motto is tourism.
