“Feel proud of our heritage”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

I was seeing the Muniyaras for the first time. Really surprised to know the saints lived in those. The government should be protecting this. There are few good ones near the resort (the wind) we stayed in.

“The heritage... to be protected.”

There are muniyaras very close to the resort (The Wind) we stayed. These are heritage places which needs more attention from the government.

“A slice of history of mankind”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

The dolmens are situated at marayoor at a scenic location. The dolmens are usually burial sites of stone age people. We were shocked to see the dolmens being vandalised and graffiti written over some of them. The place is of outstanding senic and cultural value and a must visit place.

Carry an umbrella and can of water as it could get terribly hot during summer months.

“Muniyara - Avoid Summer Visit”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

I am writing this, nothing to take away from this Ancient Beauty. But as a hill station traveller, whatever attraction spot you may go, you will expect a chill climate. Though my visit was in Feb, the weather is exactly the opposite of Munnar. There are only rocks. So, avoid summer visit.

If you are solo or group of friends travellers and don't mind litter of this place then these Dolmens is a must visit spot.
