“A Memorable experience !!!”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

We had heard about the beauty of Munnar, tea estates and greenery and being nature lovers, we were kicked about visiting the place.. Nature zone resort truly lived upto our expectations or somewhat exceeded our expectations...
First of all, it is an experience in itself to reach to the resort. You cant even imagine a resort being located in a place like this. The road is probably the worst i have seen in my life but no complaints..
We stayed in a tree house and a tent, one night each. Staying in tree house is an adventure in itself. It feels as if you are away from the rest of the world in a calm and peaceful place. Even the tents are very well built and are spacious.
The natural beauty is just superb and the resort is also well maintained. Trekking experience and a walk in tea estates are a must... The guides are also also very friendly.
Food and restaurant service were outstanding.. hospitability was good...
Would highly recommend for people who want to enjoy nature and serenity...

Room Tip: If you are going for a 2 night stay, u should stay in tree house for a day and the next should be a...

Munnar is my favourite holiday destination in India.. It's green is greener, misty and untouched by commercialisation to a certain extent.. Nature zone resort almost ruined munnar for us! When we booked the tree house here, my husband had enquired whether this resort was appropriate for a toddler.. And of course the reservation manager answered in the affirmative. The resort is virtually inaccessible and take nearly 20 to 25 mins on a bumpy road (?). What's worse is the horrible tree house. Unwelcoming and dingy, horribly maintained! Having stayed in jungle lodges and tents in the forest, we were thouroughly disappointed. The bed was full of rat feaces and in the middle of the night"...... There were 3-4 rats running around the room. We had to move from the tree house to e tents at 2:30 in the morning. And the tents which are cheaper than the tree house were way better!!!! Surprisingly no rats!! When we complained the manager gave a horrible explanation of this being the general concept that we need to be closer to nature!!!!!!! The general manager assured us that there has never been a complaint regarding rats.B.S because we were told by the rat catcher that the tree house is infested with them. Moving on from the rats, there wasn't a single activity in the resort other than stare at nature. Further the food was terrible!!! At the price they demanded it was not worth it. We finally shifted to a better resort at assuranc that we would refunded for the remaining stay. Hopefully, we will get that money someday...

This is the first resort where I actually saw tree houses and tents so I was really thrilled , the atmosphere is truly amazing if you have an adventurous soul, the staff seemed pretty decent and courteous, showed me around very patiently as I kept asking the name of each and every plant .There are not many modern amenities but no one cares while sitting in the lap of Nature .Main attraction was obviously the tree house and then there were Cardamom, Strawberry, Coffee, Medicinal Plants. The Restaurant is serving good food. The view from the top is breathtaking, you can very well hear the sound of the water flowing in a nearby stream the place is so calm and serene. An excellent place for trekking and enjoying the nature.Would definitely visit again.

One of the most amazing trips of my Life, the place is outstanding ,one can imagine how such a beautiful location is built in the mountain top, there are 5 tree houses all are stunning, the weather is outstanding, the place is little hassle to reach ,normal cars cant go , you need a truck ,which the hotel provides ,the hospitality is amazing, all amenities are there for a peaceful wonderful stay ,lil concern was there on the rats inside the tree house, but as its in forest ,its inevitable, sooner i felt its a part of wilderness,he food was excellent it was customized ,the whole trip was so refreshing, there were Coffee,Elaichi ,Strawberry plants all around ,i heard the best time to visit was Nov-Dec when weather becomes more beautiful,at one point we felt we were in heaven

Room Tip: Tree houses are worth, tents are present but lil suffocating as there is no windows, but view is excel...

This is located about 6 kms from the munnar town. The road to the resort is pretty bad as it is a non asphalated road in the middle of tea estate. Hence the resort has a jeep for pick up and drop. Going and coming out of the resort is really painful due to the road condition (it takes about 20-25 minutes to reah the main road)

The resort is made of tents and tree houses. The location is very good as it is situated in the middle of forest on hill top. But there is not much of a greenary within the campus. No lawns, very less plants / trees. They could have made it better.

The rooms does not have phone, tv or any other modern amenities. Only a bed and bathroom. Thats it. So you have to walk to call room service or use your cellphone.

There are no recreation facilities except camp fire and guided trekking...

The food is very good. The restuarent ambience is also nice. Well mannared and polite staff (language is a problem as none of them can speak proper English including the manager !)

All I would say is - it is definately not worth the money.... You may get a better and comfortable place for a lesser rate than this ... 6 to 7 K is too much for this place ....

We were travelling for our honeymoon and after a lot of research i choose nature zone resort as i wanted to experience tree house on a mountain.....The resort is great, away from whole world covered in mist most of times...The staff was amazingly friendly. The food was excellent, i have lived outside india for a few years now but have not forgotten the taste and the Dal here was simply like home. They do nice bed decoration for the first night. We spotted a deer just near our room the first day in the morning. You have alovely valley view plus nice comfortable balcony to sit and relax. NOW, one major thing if you love some adventure surely come here. the car which takes you from where ever stops around 1-2km from mountain and a jeep will come to pick you up. then as you reach the mountains jeep takes you through narrow passages(not road) on the mountain in middle of tea plantation. You will literally feel while going up and coming down from resort for first time that you can slide down but the drivers are professional.

OK, if you want entertainment take your tablet/Laptop along as there are no TVs, phone signals are also choppy. There is no SPA or swimming pool so if you want to visit these places you have to choose alternative.

For people above 50-55 or people with arthritis - Please don't book this place as this place requires you to walk some distance as rooms are located bit far from reception on a slope as it is right near the top of mountain.

For Couples - I bet you cannot find more beautiful place than this in Munnar, though the luxuries are less but if you want those things no point of going to kerala. They have guided trekking tours

I made a great decision visiting this place.
