The resort is around 1-1.5 kms off the main road and it is a bumpy ride as the approach road is bad. It is around ten mins drive to the Sasan Gir forest dept where the tours take off. The resort itself is quite comfortable. The staff are very service oriented and very responsive to requests (definitely a big plus over a few other places I have seen during my travels). Our package included all meals and the food tasted very good, like home food! Upon special request they obliged and prepared kathiawadi food, which is the local cuisine.

The rooms are just above basic but very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was effective and the bathrooms were clean, again a big plus. There is no internet connection in the resort. This is a nice, comfortable place to stay with extremely service oriented staff.

Useful tip: Sasan Gir has only one ATM and it is often non functional. So load up on cash as most of the resorts accept only cash. We had a similar problem but the Lions Paw folks were nice enough to let us check out and we transferred the money the next day, online.

Amazing hotel and an overall delight if you want to relax from busy city life. Situated about 1.25km off the main road, it can be accessed via an unpaved road which in itself is mark of entering in a jungle and leaves you splendid if you are checking in late evening. Stayed here for one night and truly loved the atmosphere and staff.

Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. Kapil-- the owner himself is involved to uplift your spirits and make your stay comfortable. Hotel will get expanded and will become a destination in itself.

The hotel was recommended by a friend, and we spent 2 nights there. Situated about 1.25km off the main road, it can be accessed via an unpaved dirt road which is not well-suited for cars with low ground clearance. The rooms are fairly decent, but the tree-house room is entirely avoidable - it is cramped, does not have air-conditioning, and appeared far less clean than the other rooms on offer. The hotel also facilitates your booking of safari trips, but the cost is double what you pay if you pre-book via fax directly with the Forest Department office. Somehow, the behaviour of the reception staff did not come across as too friendly, and they would not give us the rates promised originally. In the end they did allow us the rates originally agreed for, but it needed hard bargaining to achieve this.

Room Tip: Avoid the tree-house rooms.
