“Upperkot means Higher-Fort...Views are good...old charm”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

although it is loosing its charm as a fort due to less maintenance and restoration. But still, it is a part of tourist place in junagadh for its surrounding views and some old heritage architechtures like step-wells.
Include it in your city tour of Junagadh.

“Somewhat interesting”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

The fort has a long history and it is necessary to engage a guide who can tell you all about it. Without a guide, there is no way one can learn about the place and its specialities. We traveled using a vehicle and this made it easier. The deep and large wells were very impressive. The grain storage facilities and other attractions are worth seeing.

However, the overall maintenance and absence of tourist friendly facilities is rather disappointing.

“uperkot fort”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

great place, basically part of the historical city of junagadh which has some other classic buildings but uperkot has good architecture but unfortunately not well preserved. the views from certain places on the fort are lovely. best time to go is late afternoons.

“Must see if in Junagadh”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

Must see places in Junagadh, notable the "adi chadi vav" and the "nav ghan stepwell". Reach early for a very surreal experience of the mountain and the stepwell. You may also beat the hordes of visitors and children who throng this place.
There are couple of refreshment outlets as well.
Can spend half a day in comfort.
