Sharing bit of its Geographic history. White Rann of Kutch is massive salt plan located between the boarders of India & Pakistan. Long ago it used to be a Indus River bed until the great Earthquakes of 1819 changed the path of river from here(Kutch-India) into the Pakistan (now) leaving the Arabian sea water enter into the soil and adding salinity since then. Finally turned into the White Rann (desert) Salt is edible and being harvested in Little Rann of Kutch.
Every year monsoon (June-Sept fills this waste open Salt land (White Rann) and it becomes wet and inapproachable for few months. Finally scorching heat of Summer (40'C +) evaporates water and leaves salt on the top.
