We stayed for four days in Hotel Park Plaza. I was hoping just for a neat and clean room, but the hotel blew past my expectations. The rooms are also not too expensive and affordable. The food served was delicious.
Nice comfortable rooms with working AC and suitable for middle class and less expectation.
It was the great time when we all 5 frnds gone to have fun at GOA, and by internetl we come to know about this hotel and we have booked rooms in advance and have really enjoyed a lot with the service of this hotel....
The hotel is located at the centre of Panjim. It is comparitively less costly to other hotels around it and is fairly ok as a place to stay with family.
Nearby is the Mandovi river with the attraction of a river cruise and so are the beaches nearby. Also close are good retsurants including the Dehi Durbar which is really awesome.
The staff is warm and the place is a good place to rest and still be connected with vibrant Panjim.
We just wanted to stop over in Panaji a couple of nights, explore the capital, and do a trip to the Wateralls and other activities. We booked through the hotel, our tour, paid them, and were told to come next morning at a certain time. Thus the rest of the day we spent around the capital. Next morning, after a poor breakfast (well, for European tastes, perhaps people in India like the food) we were told only 5 minutes before about to be picked up, that the tour was cancelled. This was either the fault of the hotel or the tour operator, in not giving any earlier indication that we might not be able to take the tour. No willingness to give us bad news perhaps, but if we had known we would have found another tour (December meant to be peak season!). We promptly left Panaji, seeing no reason to hang around.
As for the review from honeymooners below, the mind boggles at the idea!!! Wouldn't recommend this for leisure. Generally didn't like Panaji.
Our highlight was the length of time it took to sign out. The number of forms, the various cards and bits of paper that got folded and stapled together in a particular way. At least it meant I could find the bits of paper and thus remember the name of the hotel to write this review.
