“Comfortable, Clean and Friendly”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for three in mid October. The Inn is well located just a few minutes walk from the main cathedral and the centre of Paniji, (which must have one of the neatest, prettiest municipal gardens in India), and is 30 minutes from Old Goa. The staff are some of the most efficient and friendly I have come across, each one seems to be better than the other.. Thomas, (my translation), was most pleasant to talk with and could help you with almost anything, his English is perfect. The building is an old Portugese mansion and has been nicly restored and the furniture is fitting of the home. The beds were really comfortable and rooms always spotlessly clean. There is a taxi driver, Bappa, that frequests the place. He is a good safe driver, he took us around North and South Goa and was a courteous and friendly guy. I would recommend the Panjim in as a great place to explore the historic Goa and it's diverse hinterland. For the beaches, that is something else.

My husband and I recently stayed for two nights in this charming hotel. It really felt like we were staying in an old colonial mansion, lovingly restored and made comfortable with unique pieces of antique furniture. Our room was termed "Basic", but this description of the room does not do it justice! It was truly charming. The four-poster bed was amazing and the whole room had a graceful feel. Floor space was somewhat limited but that is the only criticism I can offer (and there are also larger rooms available). Bed linen and towels were spotless. The bathroom was quite unusual, fully tiled in a random mosaic of soft colours, which also provides an excellent non-slip flooring. Breakfast was good, including fresh juice, cereal, porridge, toast. eggs to order and a selection of Indian and Continental items. The hotel has an excellent location. Fontainhas is a pretty area to walk around and there are some unique shops selling good quality clothing, pottery and textiles. A 10 minute walk takes you right down to the river and the lively MG road. The hotel staff are both friendly and professional. If you come to Panjim this is a truly lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 13. It was a corner room at the rear of the hotel, plenty of natural light and qu...

Recently I had been to panjim inn, and as a regular visitor to goa, I usually hop around places everyday from north to south. It was my 1st time in panjim inn, and boy it was fabulous. So I decided to extend my stay here for a couple of days more.
Rooms are excellent with unique furniture, very clean. Breakfast, lunch n dinner served are delicious. Staff is extremely helpful and polite and always present when you need.
Overall the stay was fantabulous. This place is on my permanent stay list now whenever I come back again to goa.

Tranquil, elegant and humble bundled in one. I hated stepping out of the hotel.. The look is fantabulous, so is the hospitality. We stayed in the best room at the Pousada Inn.. spacious like a heritage room should be and just too dam gd for the eyes and comfort.. I miss those french toasts and pan cake breakfasts ..A trip to Goa during the rainy became special because of this place! No reason to hesitate.. go for it, relax and enjoy!

We've stayed at many adorable heritage hotels but this is by far the best! Usually when you stay at a place with gorgeous antique furniture and mosaic flooring the beds are hard and squeaky or the room is loud. Not here! The Panjim Inn is a gorgeous yet extremely comfortable place to stay! The photos here do not do it justice! The owner and stay are friendly and generous and the breakfast is amazing! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Location: In the heart of Fountainhas just off NH17, walking distance from the pier. Great place to stay if you want to walk around the old neighborhood of Panjim, walk to the pier for the evening cruise and dine at one of the traditional Goanese-Portuguese restaurants in Fountainhas.

Ambience & decor: They have 3 sister properties of which Panjim Inn is the one where they run the administrative office + restaurant. It's a charming old building which is romantically furnished with period Portuguese furniture. The bedroom had lavish and genuine period furniture, and was very comfortable with all the modern facilities. Very clean and comfortable.

Food: Delightful balcony bar/restaurant overlooking the entryway and street. The breakfast is very good - nice mix of Indian and Continental to appeal to a broad range of clients, and the ingredients were very fresh as well.

Service: Very friendly staff - immediately offered every bit of help imaginable, whether you ask (photocopied map of Fountainhas) or not (free upgrade to better Panjim People's room).

One of the best quaint hotels I've stayed at.

I stayed with my family for 2 nights & 3 days. I reached early before my checkin, but staff at reception was quite helpful and immediately after initial formalities, they provided us the key. Room and ambience was nice. Furniture and facilities in the room were nice.

Breakfast was complementary with my package and worth. Staff of the hotel was quite helpful and service of the hotel was excellent.

My stay with my family was nice one.

Room Tip: There was no swimming room and gym.
