It was just fascinating.. totally speechless..
Its good to get a guide with you as we did, it only cost us 100.00 indian rupees and it was worth it.
something new for us and we had a great day of fun and knowledge i would say.

totally recommendable and thanks to goa government for maintaining the property how it should be as its very welcoming for tourists as well as preserving the hertiage and culture of goa/portugal.

St Francis Xavier, a Catholic missionary, travelled a lot and being an example of the Christian faith through deed
He was born in Navarre in Spain and was from an aristocratic family
St Francis travelled to Paris for studies as his home was riddled with war , thats when he met St Ignatius of Loyola who with a few others on 15th August 1534 founded the Society of Jesus.
Thereafter his life as a Catholic missionary took him places and he converted many to Christianity in his lifetime

I would recommend the place to all visitor going to Goa, the church is quite old and still looks so beautiful and grand, both from inside and outside.
The main attraction of the church is the St. Francis Xavier located inside the church.
I had seen such preserved dead bodies in movies, but first time in my real life I got a chance to look at.
Believe it or not, it is more than 400 years old.

I'm not a religious fellow but seeing the body when it was on display was something else, there is a sense of awe and silence when you get near it. Definitely worth a look!
