“Lovely place to walk around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

Many Indians come here to visit this part of Goa. There are nice restaurants and it is easy to walk. The Portugese quarter is nearly and absolutely worhtwhile a visit: the pretty coloured houses are different and varied. The people are kind and invite ou to their houses.

“Good for Historical visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Very interesting. The old church is still used to full occupancy. I prefer going to the beach but if you want to see something historical then this is the place to go.

“Old Goa still has some charms”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Old Goa is distinguished from new GOA by one very important cultural distinction. The new Goa OR more properly, North Goa is a beach paradise, if paradise is made of sea shore beaches. But the old Goa has many old church buildings, most of which are still in use. Three decades ago, you landed in Panjim by ferry . But it is now connected with new bridges. The ferries are almost gone and replaced by river tours where you can have dinner on boat with lot of lights and music.Still wish to get a sense of old Goa? Get out of your taxi or auto and start walking in the so many inner streets. Notice so many small hotels, restaurants and shops. You will be surprised with what old charm still remains.

“Great Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

A favorite destination for visitors, Old Goa stands apart from other cities for its fine construction as well as historical importance. Those who are interested in archeology get a lot of things to learn and enjoy in Old Goa. The number of people visiting Old Goa every year indicate that it is a must see place in the whole expanse of India.
