The hotel is just superb. Fantastic and comfortable rooms, great ambience and great location. The hotel is right at edge of the beach/sea, so great views. The pool is great and the pool side service is fantastic.

The breakfast buffet is unarguably superb and other restaurants are great too. The staff is great and is always eager to help and make your stay comfortable. A great choice for families and kids as they really take good care of you.

Room Tip: Choose bay side rooms on the ground floor for sit outs.

A nice hotel, luxurious, well located just by the beach, clean spacious rooms, nice pool, excellent food and a kids zone with lots of kid games.

On the down side, poor room service, muddy sea water and unclean beach. Not much of water sports except for a boat ride. Best for honeymooners, dating or corporate events.

If looking for partying in Goa with lot of beach activities, building sand castles with kids, local market and excitement, North Goa is the place to stay.

Dear Guest,

Greetings from the Goa Marriott & Spa!

We are truly thankful to you for taking the time to post such a positive review and for your strong recommendation. However, we sincerely apologise for the room service not being able to meet your expectations. The view from the hotel is most stunning as it is located at close proximity to the Bay. Please do not let this, mar your otherwise favourable impression of us. We look forward to delighting you and exceeding your expectations soon.

Had a week here with my wife. We couldn't have enjoyed it more, the room was wonderful staff were so helpful and friendly, food was excellent in all three restaurants, Simply Grills was our favourite. The hotel was clean, fresh and easy to relax in.

Book a driver and a car fro a trip out - the best way to travel and see what you want to see, they are very helpful.

Sit b the pool and enjoy a cocktail from the bar - all well made - for lunch try the Tandoori Chicken Tikka - fantastic.

Just enjoy an calm relaxing place and be pampered

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel. It was a combination of a business trip and short vacation. We enjoyed dinner in the 3 restaurants at the hotel, and recommend the grill house. The staff is very friendly and seeks feedback. An example is that they changed the spaghetti portion after a remark. My wife was the lucky one.... We recommend to visit Old Goa, Baba beach, and take the boat to go for a trip on the sea. Not sure when the boat leaves, but it is on the beach close to the hotel. During the sea trip, you can see some dolphins.
The price of the hotel is not really cheap, but you get all luxury, and the infinity pool is awesome...

Room Tip: try to book a room at the reception site of the hotel, as this is closer to everything (fitness, bar...

After a terrible start, arriving in South Goa at the hotel we originally booked (but only could stand staying at for one night), we called and booked at Marriott in Panaji instead. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the resort. Security is high; there is a gate, with a guard, and they check underneath the vehicles for bombs, and also there is a metal detector when entering the hotel itself. First time we`ve experienced this, but it made us feel very safe! The guards were smiling, polite and professional, and the bell boys immidiately took our bags, to the x-ray machine and kept them until we had checked in.

We were greeted in this huge reception with sparkling marble floors, huge windows facing the Mandovi river, fans in the high ceiling and a lobby bar with comfortable seating. Delilah in the reception took very good care of us checking in - whilst we got shell necklaces and a cold drink (beer and some kind of juice). The check in was fast and easy, and after that the bell boys took us and the suitcases to the room.

We didnt opt for a upgrade, but no need - the room was really nice - huge bed with lots of pillows, nice sofa and coffee table, a desk with a leather chair, and an amazing bathroom - with a huge window looking in on the bed (there were blinds to pull down for the more shy guests). The bath had a huge bath tub, a real nice shower with a marble bench in it, a good sized sink in a nice "bench" with plenty of space around the sink to put personal stuff. It was so clean and neat you could eat from the floor.
The room had a nice balcony with two good chairs and a table, and the view over the lush gardens were great!

There are several places to eat and drink in the resort. Simply Grills is the most romantic - its by the pool and has the river on the other side. They serve really good barbequed food; try the snapper, and the chicken - really, really good! The service is excellent, and Vimal and the rest of the gang took very good care of us there. For a real romantic dinner, its just perfect!

There is also a sunken bar in the pool, and there are bells mounted on your sun bed to get drinks and food during the day. Ravi and Achintya were amazing and attentive and always had a smile and something nice to say, no matter what you asked for. They serve all kinds of drinks, beers and wine, and also sandwiches, burgers and other snacks. The security guards working the pool are were so sweet, especially Kuber that became our good friend, that allways kept our favourite sun beds for us in the mornings, and kept us stocked on dry towels, books and quite a few jokes! Lovely man!

Then you have a chinese restaurant Wan Hao; the food is great; and the portions huge! Francis was our fav waiter there, a real sweet guy that made us enjoy our visits there a lot.

Then there is Waterfront Terrace restaurant; its where you have breakfast, and it serves also lunch and dinner. Its open 24/7, and offers a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also an ala carte menu. The chefs there also make things that are not on the menu, like typical goan food like fish curry and other exotic courses. The chefs are lovely and always check on their guests to see if they like their food. The waiters are just so sweet, and they remember your room number and what you like to drink, and where you like to sit even. Masum kind of adopted us the first day, and was taking so good care of us when we had meals there. The other waiters like Emil and Alex and Vimal (when not working Simply Grills) also catered to our every whim, and always with a smile. The duty managers like Desider, was always asking if everything was to our liking, and made us feel very welcome and taken care of.
If we could complain about anything in Waterfront, its the lighting; the red side of the restaurant was not so bad, but the blue side had glaring lights, which made that part of the restaurant an bit sterile.

AZ.U.R by the lobby was a bar/pastry &coffee shop which also served the lobby bar. The pastry was just amazing there - mouth watering! Coffee and tea good too, and they make killer drinks there. Dipty was the sweetest waitress ever, and also had the biggest smile in Marriott. She always had time to chat and ask how we were doing and what we`d been up to that day. She even hugged us the day we left.

The spa was good; had a couple of treatments - and they were very professional, smiling and kind. The spa feels luxurious, has a very good feel to it, relaxed, soft lights and soft music. There were flowers everywhere and the service was impeccable. And the prices very low for us North Europeans.

There is also a hairdresser - had a haircut, highlights and a treatment; great value for money!

Housekeeping was fantastic; Rahul kept our room tidy, very clean and even made swans and flowers of towels for us on the beds.

All in all - Marriott was one of the best hotels we`ve ever stayed in; and not only because of the surroundings and the building it self, or the beautiful pool area; but because the dedicated, always smiling, always friendly and always professional staff there - they really made our stay there memorable.

There is two things we`d liked to be changed; 1: there are no trash bins to be seen on the property, and 2: the lobby bar should be open until at least midnight, instead of only until 11, cause it was such a beautiful place to sit to have an after dinner coctail, with the soft wind blowing thru the windows, and the view of the river....

But except that; just superb!!

Room Tip: We had a garden view room, and loved it. However; if you have a ocean/river view room, make sure it...
