The first day in Panjim, after three weeks most of the time in nature, at the Beach, is Panjim a lot of noise and traffic.
I felt so happy when I saw Simo Zai. Sitting there was a sense of Paradise!
A really small restaurant with two friendly women in almost silence was a welcome moment for me.
The single espresso and the Fresh juice makes both of us very happy. We orders a small lunch with humus: very tastefull. Dessert was applepie.
The next day we were there again and the menu was completely different. Every day a new menu! Yes a perfect spot to relax.

And if you want: next to Sumo Zai is a shop with all kinds of things for children: good stuff!

A tiny little cafe that adjoins a children's store, Sumo Zai has limited seating but fresh and tasty food. Their sandwiches are served in traditional Goan bread and are freshly made. The beverages were good as also the desserts. It looks like they rotate their menu regularly and are inventive in how they put together their dishes. We had a chicken and hummus sandwich, a pumpkin and leak soup with bacon, and a couple of other things. The soup wasn't my favorite, but the sandwiches were delicious and filling.
It's a nice little addition to the city offerings in Panjim, and offers a reprieve when one has a lot of running around to do.
