“Feels like Portugal”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Beautiful simple design and great food. Had the chicken liver and some Portuguese pork & beans dish and was blown away. Staff and owner very nice. Don't miss this place when in Panjim. Highly recommended and i cant wait to eat there again.

“Dinner at Horse Shoe Panjim”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Went for dinner there on advise of a good Goan friend,
I must adnit that it is 1 of the very bad places in Panjim to go for dinner.
The curries are pure water with a little bit of massala in it and totally tasteless,
All the curries are tasting the same way , the fish is overcooked and consequently not tasty at all and to be sincere the owner strongly believe that he is the only person in the world who knows everything about food.
So for sure a place where someone should never go for lunch or dinner

“A treat of gourmet delight”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Horse shoe (Ferradura) restaurant at Panaji Goa, is a small boutique restaurant which can easily be missed if you are not careful to locate it. And if you miss it , you have missed one of the greatest gourmet delights in Goa. Justifiably, the restaurant has won the Times Now Foodie's best local cuisine (West) award for 2012. Take the road from Panaji church towards Fontainhas and the place is to the left corner as the lane meets the main road.

The owner, Chef Bosco, who personally handles the cooking, proudly proclaims that the place is 33 years old. The place is clean and cosy for a family lunch, without any outdoor ambience. Parking may be available if you are early, on a busy narrow crossing. But the food is a delight for its true Goan Portuguese authenticity not matched by many other reputed Goan eating places.

We had prawns recheiado, fish with garlic cheese and chicken peri peri, each one was superb in taste and presentation. The portions are adequate for two persons and the service was prompt. The Chef surprised us when the dessert , the famous Goan bebinca , was served with small shots of the portuguese wine Moscatel (Chefs compliments) for us. And the combination was extraordinary. The prices are very reasonable. If you are visiting Goa to discover its Portuguese culinary influence , then you can't miss Horse Shoe.

The Horse Shoe is an excellent restaurant.

Please try the chicken and rice soup! The best I have ever had.

My wife and I were very pleased with food and service.

Highly recommend,

“Extremely peaceful ambience with good food”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

A must try is the pan-fried sausage and fresh tuna salad. Extremely friendly staff and the owner-chef is a very friendly person. The food is slightly bland as it is prominently Portuguese cuisine and will be enjoyed only by those who enjoy Portuguese food
