It is located on the 18th June Road, traditionally Panjim’s shopping area popular among tourists and locals. This “Goan” Sikh owned 200 plus seater restaurant has been serving guests since 1969 and has grown into what it is now only through the grace of its clientele. The restaurant serves authentic Punjabi cuisine and local seafood as well as Goan and Indo-Chinese dishes.Aside from this they also serve sandwiches, samosas and freshly brewed coffees and are known for their Gulab Jamuns,Rabdi,Kulfi and other desserts. The bar is well stocked with Indian and International spirits, wines and brews. The restaurant has A/C and non A/c sections as well as a comfortable outdoor garden seating. The guests happiness is all that is aimed for at this restaurant, right from the time it opens at 11 A.M till the end of the day at 12 A.M.

“Authentic Goan seafood: Masala fish fry is the best!”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

We visited Goa for one day on a cruise stop, and wanting to try authentic Goan food, we took a taxi to this restaurant base don the reviews. What an experience. The staff was helpful and made recommendations to us, we ate on the back terrace at a shady table surrounded by others enjoying the food, and the food itself ... AMAZING. We had the masala fish fry, spicy and flavourful. The chicken tikka was also hot and delicious. We didn't want to order too much and not be able to eat it, but I would have liked to sit there all afternoon and just keep ordering. Highly recommended!

“Brilliant Desi Food”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

If you want the standard Indian cuisines and are looking for a safe and a hygienic place to eat in Goa, this is it!

The place is bustling at all times of the day. Food is fresh and you can get any north Indian dish here. I don't think the food tastes the best but its way above average. Try Palak Paneer and Aloo paratha.

Expect a long wait for the food to be served though!

“Authentic and rare in Goa”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

This place is Godsend for people who crave for the basic roti - dal - sabzi ...something hard to find in fish and non veg crazy Goa. Big and spacious. Food was excellent whenever I went there and service was quick.
