Just stayed with our 4 kids and the place worked out great. Rooms were basic but clean. Grounds were very well kept. Location was the best as it was just out of town in a quiet area but easy walk into town even with out 4 kids all under 11. Adi the manager was great and really takes pride in the hotel and it shows! Highly recommend!

This was our first trip to Roatan. It is one of the most beautiful islands we have been to. Lands End is a small, but an extremely clean and comfortable resort. My wife and I had a truly amazing time. We didn't really know anything about the island except that the diving was supposed to be fantastic, which it was. I would definitely have to thank Adi for all the tips that he gave us, everything from where to eat to which dive shop would cater to our skill level of diving. Thanks for making us feel at home and making our trip one of the best that we've had. Hope to see you again in 2015.

My wife and I just returned from spending a week in Roatan, at Lands End Resort. Overall, it was wonderful and I highly recommend it. The manager of the facility is the most professional, knowledgeable, and friendly person you could hope for. He's full of advice about the island and will help ensure you have a great time. The resort was clean and spacious....plenty of quiet places the relax. But yet there were also plenty of times when we were able to visit with other guests, make new friends, and share experiences. The breakfasts were fantastic. The bar was always stocked with cold beverages. The deer are like pets and the grounds were well maintained. Our room was clean, spacious, and we had a comfortable bed. The only area that could have been improved is the overall condition of the room was a little "tired".....old curtains, stains on the curtains, worn furnishings, noisy air conditioner. But overall, the room was great and well worth the money. I highly recommend this resort to people that want a quiet place to relax but still want to be within walking distance of town.

Room Tip: Not all rooms had an air conditioner or refrigerator. Not all rooms have a balcony that feels priva...

Dear B. thank you for choosing Lands End for your vacation in Roatan. It was a pleasure to be your host. Thank you for your kind review. Very appreciated.

Yes, the AC unit in the room you stayed in needs replacement. Due to the vicinity to the ocean and exposure to salt this unit has suffered badly for the salty air especially during the many storms this past year. We have a brand new AC unit in the box ready to be installed. We get to it as soon as easter is over.

We are also planning to change all curtains for rolling blinds which have only recently become available on the Island. We have tested them now in 2 rooms so far. I did not trust them at first but they seem to work fine.

best regards and hope to see you again one day
Adi

I have stayed at Lands End 3 times and would go back every year if I could. They have the best bar in the Westend and the sunset's are amazing. It's intimate, beautiful and different all at the same time. Nothing beats waking up and grabbing a cup of coffee on the deck and staring out at the ocean.

Adi is the best and makes you feel like you are at home every time you visit. He is the heart and soul of that place. I have traveled all over the world and Lands End will always be one of my favorites.

Room Tip: Be sure and get a room with an ocean view. It's worth it.

Hey S.
thank you for your friendly review. It is always great to have you here. We have done quite some work and improvements since your last visit. You will like the large ocean front deck with the cool concrete lounge chairs. We have a little greek theme going on there in bright white and royal blue. cu soon, Adi

Lands End was a really awesome place to stay. It's not super expensive, the rooms are really nice and there are deer that live there. Need I say more?

Highlights:

Breakfast - The breakfast is so amazing here. Made by Margarita every morning fresh. Holy crap do we love those breakfasts. Home made tortilla, eggs, bacon and beans. Not to mention fresh fruit every morning. Man, it was so hard to adjust when we got back home.

Staff - Really really friendly. Some of the cleaning/maintenance people couldn't speak a lot of english, but they always tried their best to help you. They were all very sincere and thoughtful. The cleaning people were very very thorough and thoughtful. We never felt unsafe or unsure about our valuables and such. We never locked anything.

Rooms - We stayed in almost 70% of the rooms available. They were all very clean and comfortable! The showers were very large and clean. Really comes in handy when you are diving 3 times a day! The toilets were functional and clean. The only suggestion I would have is to have a drying rack so we could dry our swimsuits and stuff. We just ended up hanging them outside.

Host - Adi. This guy is very laid back and chill. An awesome host and very knowledgeable about the island. He is also a part of a band that plays every Thursday at Monkey Island Bar. Holy crap that show is not something you want to miss!!!!!! (Seriously. I mean it!)

Location - Awesome. Really quite place but only 5 minutes walk from West End where there are dive shops, restaurants and grocery stores galore! We would dive in the morning, walk back to Lands End for a break, then walk back to the dive shop for afternoon dive, and then walk back to Lands End for shower and then walk back to West End for dinner and booze. I mean the the walk to so short.

Deer - I mean there are freaking deer. Cute-hand-licking-head-petting-curious-playful deer. Nuff said!

On good days, you can chill next to the pool, in front of the Ocean or under the Gazebo. On stormy days (we had one!), you can climb up onto the roof and observe Angry Mother Nature. Either way, you will be very happy at Lands End.

If we ever go back, it would be a no brainer where we would stay!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are really nice!!!!! We are so glad we could stay in so many of them!!!!!

We just returned from a 10 day stay with a large group of friends. Just like the previous review, from the beginning of our stay we had a great time and the accommodations and staff were fantastic!

Our experience
1) The staff was excellent: incredibly friendly and helpful. Adi helped us with all our reservations (we traveled with a large group of friends) and made us feel welcomed before we even arrived. He sat down with us when we arrived to make sure we had what we needed and gave us recommendations and briefed us on the island. Oh- be sure to catch one of his shows. His band is a lot of fun!
2) A special mention to the lovely Elsa and Mercedes for satisfying our bellies each morning with breakfast (fresh fruit, eggs, beans, bacon and the best home made tortillas-- yum!) and keeping our rooms clean.
3) The bartender, Ryan, could not be more friendly. His Monkey La La's are the best on the island!
4) Extremely well maintained grounds...
5) Location! Perfect location- only five minute walk to Half Moon Bay to all the restaurants and night life. We walked into town daily so this was important to us.
6) The resident deer are also what sets this place a part from any where else. We looked forward to seeing them everyday! They are super friendly-- you can pet and feed them. :)
7) The rooms look like they do in the photos. No unexpected surprises which is always huge in my book! We stayed in the WAHOO - king bed, patio, overlooking the ocean.
8) Free wi-fi
9) THE STAFF! I can't say it enough!

Thanks, Lands End, for a wonderful stay! We miss you already!

Hey A. thank you for your kind review. We really enjoyed being your hosts. Your group was a lot of fun. I wish I had the time to join you guys on your boat trip with Roatan Ruthless Charters to Cayos Cochinos. Next time for sure. Love you all. Adi

Nice rooms, nice grounds. small place that is easy to meet new friends. They have Jeep Wranglers for rent by the day or week. They also have the best bar tender in the West End(Ryan). You get a good breakfest every morning and if you get the "typical" you get the best tortilla on the island. Had a great time Adi, thanks for everything. If you are looking for a big fancy hotels with a huge pool West End is not for you.Look at West Bay. West End is a much better place.
