The hotel is very conveniently located close to everything in town and a number of dive shops just steps away. It's simple but very clean. The A/C unit in the room looks pretty new - it was quiet and worked quite well, the lowest setting was enough to cool the room. Strong wi-fi signal available pretty much all the time. The power went out a couple of times but they got the generator restarted pretty quickly (it is a small island with limited infrastructure after all).

There's no beach immediately in front of the hotel but there are two within a few minutes walk (one East of it and Half Moon Bay one to the West). Also, during the day you can swim off of the dock of the Splash Inn Dive Shop and there are a few plastic beach chairs on that same dock.

Also, there doesn't really seem to be a convenient area at the hotel to just relax outside other than a couple of picnic tables in the dive shop area.

Overall, would probably stay there again. There are cheaper, more rustic options in town, but not having cockroaches and having wi-fi available in the room consistently (not just during office hours in some designated area) was important.

Room Tip: The two rooms above the restaurant facing the ocean have great view but can get pretty noisy in the evening.

Nice rooms, restaurant, walking distance from half moon bay, amazing beach, swimming reef and diving. Very relaxed atmosphere, decent food and service. Wonderful stay. I would recommend this place, there is shopping, clubs, a juice bar and Thai food near by-all walking distance. I rented snorkel gear from one of the taxi boat drivers and got a ride to the West end for $11. I was able to score a couple of paddle boards for our group for a couple of hours at a reasonable rate also. All near by the accommodations. The owner is a pleasant and friendly Italian lady that made sure that our dinner was wonderful! The fish was on point!

I was frantically finding a nice, clean place that could hold two adults, two kids last minute. Although I could only get one of the two nights, splash inn went out of their way to find me a room (and luckily a cancellation allowed us to stay both nights.) Rooms are big, simple but very clean. Large shower with soap and 2-in-1 shampoo. Considering what a problem Mosquitos are, we kept most out. They burned mosquito coils outside our room, which helped. 3 of the beds were extremely comfy. One was pretty hard. The a/c wasn't turning on when we arrived so they called someone and it was fixed in about 15 minutes! Front desk is helpful, dive center is great, food is delicious, affordable...we'll be back!!

This is a great laid back hotel, perfect for divers. Not a lot of frills, but that is one of the things that makes it so wonderful and memorable. It is like the caribbean use to be. The rooms are clean and the location is great. No need to rent a car, you can dive, eat, drink, etc. within walking distance or take a water taxi. Staff is excellent and very friendly.
The dive shop personnel are wonderful. They are very professional, friendly, and personable. We were given a detailed briefing prior to every dive. The divemasters went over everything: safety, duration, type of diving, what we might see, what they would be monitoring, etc. During the dives, they lead but always seemed to be counting divers and making sure everyone was ok. Our divemasters were Justin and Monique and they were awesome! Diving was spectacular. Great reef with abundant fish.
Can't wait to go back!!

Great choice for divers, snorkelers, water sports. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with excellent AC, new memory foam mattresses and an amazing rain forest shower. The rooms are large, with a flat screen TV. The location is right next to the excellent Splash Inn Dive shop, and the wonderful open air waterfront restaurant with wood burning pizza oven and an Italian chef! The staff speak excellent English and they are exceptionally helpful and attentive. The Dive Shop instructors are great for both very advanced and new divers. Nearby West End restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. My room was very quiet at night, and only had some normal side street traffic noise in the days which did not bother me. I am an older single female, and I felt quite safe the entire trip. This is not a huge corporate resort; the owner is Italian and she has owned the operation for 17 years. She is on-site and it shows that personal touch. If you like a more traditional Island experience, with hammocks on the covered deck and chaises at the end of the pier, excellent food and amazing diving, try this one. I'll be returning as soon as possible.
