We had a couple of great meals at Monkey Island. We loved taco night, but would go back regardless of what was on the menu. The lion fish was fresh, the coconut shrimp were to die for!!! Oh I'm dreaming of them now....
The service was fast and friendly.
It's a popular place so it's noisy, but the entertainment was good so lots of people come by.
The staff were accommodating. There was a young family in one night and smoking is allowed so they moved people around to get the kids out of the smog!
Great prices, good food, delicious drinks. Who could ask for more.

Cons: It is permitted to smoke within the place.
Food a little bit slow

Pros: Our waiter was Adiel. Really nice guy; he attended us neatly and gave himself to the top. The chef is truly talented and the staff in general is nice. We asked for the stuffed jalapeños with lion fish and although the lion fish was over, they changed it for the shrimp. In any case it was superb!! We ordered the catch of the day; snapper. It was good. The shrimp with garlic or coconut sauce was also good. Conclusion: totally recommended!!

Well located near the front of West End with a very open and airy restaurant. We had dinner here one night and drinks and live music on another night. We had lion fish tacos and more. It was delicious. The service was some of the best we had on the whole island. The live music was very entertaining and upbeat. Would recommend to anyone for food and/or drinks.

This restaurant/bar plays load music and the service is beneath contempt. The food is ok but there are a lot nicer places with the same menu

We visited here several times on our trip to Roatan. Great Salsa. Fresh fish. Wonderful Lionfish. Monkey Lalas rated AAA+ Mine was a treat and made with a heart of chocolate after I mentioned I had never had one. Service was good. Bathrooms were clean. Great place to watch the sun go down and take one last dip in the water.
