“Nothing special”

Had the barracuda here, it was average. Girlfiend got sick from the salad (we suspect). Just seems like the run of the mill restaurant.

“Average food with slow service”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

The location is great with views over the water and all of the boats on the docks on West End.
Food is fair and the service was okay. Nothing really special which is a shame because of their location.

“Don't eat here!”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

We tried this restaurant because we were out of cash, the atm's were down, and they accept credit cards. We had ordered an appetizer that was supposed to be fish balls made with mahi-mahi. They were burnt and made with tuna. We sent them back and at this time we had been there an hour, so we told them to skip the fish balls and just bring the main course. After another 45 minutes, we asked where our food was and was told just a few more minutes. 15 minutes later, they brought out another order of burnt fish balls! We asked if we could just skip the main course and leave, but were told our main course was almost done. 20 later my husbands food came out. 15 minutes after that mine arrived. The food was terrible and after witnessing another family trying to argue with the manager about the poor quality of food and not getting very far, we paid the bill and eat snacks back at our room.

“Steer clear of fish & chips, enjoy the friendly service and view”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

The beer battered fish and chips were not only low on flavor, but drowning in grease (and not cooked in high quality flavorful grease, either). No joke, there was a huge puddle of grease at the bottom of the bowl. I ate about 1/3 of the dish and just couldn't put any more down - if the flavor was strong, I would have probably eaten a bit more, but the grease was just too much to get past and there was no hook of a great flavor for me to keep pushing it down.
Another negative was the mix of prices in lempiras and dollars on various menus. Naturally they will charge you the dollar amount, despite the printed menu giving you lempira amount. The "famous" fish & chips were 150 lempiras on the printed menu, and $9 on the whiteboard menu.
To the credit of the staff, however, they noticed that I didn't eat much of my food, expressed concern, and offered me complimentary dessert. This was a very *sweet* offer and I completely appreciated it. However, there was no way my stomach was going to allow anything else heavy into it, so sadly I had to decline.

“Pleasantly Surprised with Food and Service”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

Two of us had dinner out on the deck just after sunset and the view was stunning. Throughout the meal we were able to watch distant lightening storms and listen to the waves across the bay. The service was prompt and courteous and the food excellent. We started with lemonade (best so far we have had on the island) and fish balls. The balls were large and came with a tangy/fruity sauce. The salads were fresh and the coconut bread warm. We had the barracuda for our entree and the sauce it came with was light and herby. The fish was tender, fresh and our favorite dish over the last week we have been here. We are planning on going back next week.
