“Dinner with tablecloths and linen napkins on Roatan!”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

Want to eat at an air-conditioned restaurant on this island that makes dining a pleasure? The Hungry Kiwi at the Lawson Rock condos presents diners with an island elegance in the evening. Red tablecloths and placesettings grace the tables with napkins folded into varying shapes each night.

As they are only open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, plan to visit them on one of these evenings from 5:30 to closing which ends up around 9:30 to 10:00, later if your party is still having fun. The wines are delicious, the Thursday special roast lamb is delicious and Friday's popular Prime Rib is served just like you like it cooked.

The background music completes the scene to an excellent meal and an evening of casual with a touch-of-elegance dining. Your host Adriaan may talk you into his very yummy South African dessert. Do try it, it is the best.

“Outstanding place to enjoy lunch and dinner!”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

We tremendously enjoy the food at the restaurant. It is delicious. You have a choice in the evening of either ordering of the breakfast, lunch, or dinner menu. The food is fresh and service is excellent. We will be back. A very nice plus is the air conditioning on hot nights. You can seat outside if you desire.

“Fantastic Dinner!”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

Six of us enjoyed the hospitality of The Hungry Kiwi a few nights ago. We enjoyed one of the two dinner specials - either Prime Rib or Sea Bass. I had the Prime Rib, which was cooked perfectly and accompanied with fresh vegetables and rice (potato was an option). Melted in my mouth. I tried a bite of the Sea Bass and it was very good as well.

Great service. Next time I'm on Roatan, I'll make sure to eat here.

Reviewed June 4, 2012

Move to Roatan 2 months ago. The Kiwi is my away from home kitchen, best comfort food (all food that's good is comforting to me) I have found and the staff is the best. still looking forward to dinner, I have to finish the breakfast menu and lunch menu before I start the dinner menu.
