The pools were nice - I guess the reviews and internet info just made it sound like I'd get a little more 'wow' factor. There re no lockers so if you are going to go there with a wallet or camera, recommend a waterproof bag or someone willing to sit out. We went to the view and it took about 45 min to walk there. It was worth it for the exercise...the photos were 'okay'...

“A gorgeous Day of swimming and walking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Though kind of hard to get to, it is still worth it. The waters are lovely shades of green, and it is at least 10 degrees cooler there than the surrounding jungle. The hotels in the area do not battle the heat well, but the pools on the natural land bridge sure do! A great way to spend the day breathing in the pure air, listening to the sounds of the jungle, and the taking in the lush vegetation. There is a mirador to which you can hike, and after which you will be glad to dip in the cool waters.

“Still my favourite day in Central America”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

This place is totally magical. Apart from the fun you have swimming through the pools, it's totally beautiful and there is just a magic aura about the place. It's best not to read or listen to too much about it and just go there, you won't be disappointed. Best mixed with a tour of the Kan'Ba caves next door, and it actually doesn't work out cheaper to try and do these activities yourself. The guide will show you plenty of things in Semuc Champey that you wouldn't see doing it on your own. Incredible day.
(Note that the toilets are at the entrance to the park).

“Loved every moment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2013

Booked the trip to Semuc Champey through Zephyr Lodge, and I must say they provided an excellent service. Semuc is a must see attraction in Guatemala. Loved seeing the pools of water from a viewing point up an adjacent mountain. Enjoyed swimming and diving in the pools.

“Stellar experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

Walk up to the view point was a little arduous on my knees (due to tendonitis) but WORTH THE PAIN! It's just fantastic. Swimming in the turquoise water afterwards to cool down is a joy, and you can even get a free fish-pedi from the small fish there too. Wonderful day out with caves first and tubing the river after. Gets a little cool after about 4pm due to shade so best enjoyed early afternoon.
