A quaint guest house located midway between Elmina and Capecoast. Whilst it has great sea views the beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming. Twin rooms with fans (no AC) are either in chalets (75 GHS per night) or set back in a purpose built block (65 GHS per night). Rooms include mosquito nets for each bed and clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff and more than willing to accomodate your requests, they even stored our champagne until it was cold and gave us glasses for it! Suitable driving distance from Kakum National Park (which is where we drove the next morning within 45 mins)

IMAKUS and her family are repatriated Africans who established a village for other Africans in the Diaspora who make a pilgrimage to the Slave Dungeons of Ghana. Everything about her resort is amazing- from the facilities, to the ocean front location, to the superb cuisine and the culture that explodes into your consciousness while a guest. IMAKUS conducts naming ceremonies and other rituals. There is a full service Spa as well and I did treat myself to an amazing massage while at the resort. Relaxation, Mediation and Spiritual practice are the order of the day. Every sense that one possesses is indulged to complete satisfaction at this Guest House. Forget about time-- just chill out and reconnect with your soul in the company of lovely, caring and brilliant people.

This is a lovely place right on the beach with sweet circular bungalows, beautiful views and a more or less private beach. It is a 30 min walk to Elmina or 5 min taxi ride. Good accommodation is scarce in this area and this was a wonderful find. The host was a very sweet African-american who had gone back to her roots. There is an interesting museum of black history on the grounds. The outdoor restaurant is very sweet although order an hour or two in advance. Red, red was our favorite and they made a great version of this. Internet was available in the rooms. Our only minor complaint was the gap in the middle of the beds which were pushed together....since we were a couple.
