Cape Coast Castle is an old white castle with the dungeons where slaves were kept before transport through the ' door of no return' onto a ship. The cannons and cannon balls are still there and now a plaque commenorating President Obamas visit. The guide is very informative.
You can still see the ship building going on outside the walls.

This castle is a very impressive building with a dark past. There is a very good guided tour, which I highly recommend. The tour tries to balance the blame of the slave trade, spreading it among the local tribes, Europeans and the Americans. The museum is also very well done.
I also visited Elmina Castle and it was different enough from Cape Coast to make it worth the time to visit both.

Very Informative, great experience.
A must do to anyone in the area. the Guides and Museum was interesting. they are currently busy with renovations, which will improve the experience. Make sure you take alot of Photos as there is much to see, and you might miss out on something.

Very good historical factual place to visit. The guides were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They took their time to explain to the kids who found it difficult to understand the cruelty of humans.
