Had a great week at Biriwa in November. The hotel has been updated and the rooms are very pleasant and even have tea and coffee making facilities - unusual in Ghana. Air- con is very efficient. The food is tasty and well cooked to order so is always fresh. Continental breakfast is included and is excellent- rolls and jam .fruit platter and tea or coffee. The menu is extensive - both international and ghanaian dishes, and prices are very reasonable. The coup de grace is the new swimming pool - great for relaxing and with a splendid view of the beach. One slight niggle - the poolside loungers although locally made are not the most comfortable! Will be back next time we are in ghana - a very friendly small hotel.

We stayed for five nights as a last minute booking and wasn't at all disappointed. We had room 101 with windows to three sides overlooking the sea. It was a bright airy en-suite room, very well equipped: tv with satellite reception, tea/coffee making facilities, fridge, air-con, LARGE bed, plenty of space, ample sized bathroom. The hotel has an elevated position with a beautiful view overlooking the beach. Each of the rooms also has its own private outdoor sitting area for relaxing in the shade, in addition to the many relaxing sunny spots around the grounds. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating, always smiling and always willing to help. We were made extremely welcome. During our stay we ate all our meals in our hotel, each meal was cooked to order and was tasty and plentiful. The menu is varied with something to suit everybody's taste. The swimming pool is well maintained and very welcoming in the Gahanain heat. Although set back from the main road, it is only a two minute walk to pick up the regular tro tros into Cape Coast or Accra. If we returned to Ghana we would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend to others. This was definitely the one place throughout our three week holiday that we totally wound down and relaxed.

Room Tip: room 101 is the best room, just slightly more expensive
