We enjoyed our stay at Brenu Beach. I would have given them an excellent rating, but even though we ordered our dinner one hour ahead of time, we still had to wait an additional hour for it to be served and the table cloths were dirty from previous people eating there during the day. Internet was not available, but telephone reception was above average. The atmosphere is very rustic, but picturesque. The beds were hard by American standards, average by Ghanaian standards. The beach is perfect. By Ghana standards the rooms were above average--clean, with AC, fans & hot water. It is a bit confusing finding the place. You have to drive in front of the Brenu Paradise pavilion to get there and it feels like you are trespassing, but once you drive past the pavilion you can see where to park. Everything is outside. There isn't a lobby or reception area. The highlight was the eating lobster every night. All in all I would recommend staying there, just be aware that it isn't a resort.
