“best place”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

This was easily the best food we had on our trip (Moorea and Bora Bora). There were 2 prix fixe options. The wife had the 5-course and I had the other with the wine pairing and we shared bites from each. The foie gras was prepared in a way that was unlike anything I had tasted previously. Melt in your mouth. The filet was perfect. I was uncomfortably full and could barely eat dessert but it was worth it. Attentive service and a very nice atmosphere. We are both from Albuquerque and I can say that this place is on par with some of the upscale restaurants we have been to. Pretty cool that it is in such a far away place.

“What lies behind the guarded gate? We finally get in...”
Reviewed November 25, 2011

We wanted to visit the Sofitel property for years (we were always turned away at the gates because we weren’t guests) but finally figured out that a dinner reservation would let us get past the front gate and armed guard. K Restaurant was a lovely experience, but an expensive one. This is a full-service dining experience under the stars, and in between courses you are watching Polynesian dancers shimmy by your table. We had service issues – the one native English speaking waiter assigned to our table was a bit green, and it took far too long for the wine service. But the food was quite good, and the experience was memorable. A great place for honeymoon couples where the budget is not an issue, or those who like grand meals under the South Sea skies.

“Great Polynesian dining experience”
Reviewed November 14, 2011

My wife and I went to K Restaurant for dinner on our honeymoon. The food was very good to European cuisine standards and the ambiance was wonderful! Each of the tables are distanced from each other so that you feel you are having a private romantic dinner. There was also some entertainment, Polynesian dancers, while slightly touristy, it was tasteful and did not disturb the fine dining atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it!
