cozy ,primitive , hot spring is amazing really.
I stayed 3 nights .. the place is good relaxation spot
it is have primitive meaning that it is intended to be primitive to disconnect you from the world a little. this reflects on the rooms, facilities , shower, beds ,.... internet connection which is week in the hotel .

Food is nice . there is nothing to do at night other than setting in the tent near the restaurant ( which closes after dinner) or to swim in the lake
IMPORTANT : mosquitoes are fun killer , be sure to buy a skin-spray from the pharmacy called (OFF) it is important and it helps a bit.
keep your room door always closed for the exact same reasons . you don't want to get a mosquito bite at night
cell phones doesn't work well specially Vodafone. orange seems working ok. no internet in the rooms ( very week)
the whole city sleeps early , I don't think there are night activities that can be done .the market (siwa center) is 15 min by car away from the hotel . it is a small market where you can buy siwa products and snacks ..there is a restaurant or two in the area
in city center you can also climb up to shali castle and read its story

8 hour drive mostly accross desert to come into the tiny oasis town of Siwa, you then have to navigate yourself around the town and palm groves to find the Hotel. this is down some palm lane and you are then wondering where the hell am I. Well its not the Carlton-Ritz but it is a little gem of a boutique Hotel, the rooms are small chalets done in the local style ours had a separate bedroom and sm reception with fridge and tv in the bedroom. the hotel is half board and you need to take your own drinks with you there is no bar ( you are in the middle of the Sahara) . Thereis a natrual hot spa in the grounds and its beautiful to relax in as well as a small pool of fresh water to swim in. the food is tasty and plentiful but caters only in Egyptian cuisine (this is tasty but dont expect a full English or Continental buffet at breakfast) the staff are friendly and very helpful, would i go again the answer is yes hopefully in the late autumn.

An average place .. hotel management not professional at all, when it comes to food there is a small variety to choose from.
Rooms are in a very bad condition, toilets always flooding and water pressure was horrible.
In conclusion, it is an average hotel but with a distinctive atmosphere.

I went on a trip to Siwa oasis during January 2018 stayed in Shali resort it was a very nice hotel very friendly staff one of the owners was always present 24/7 to facilitate very thing and solve any problem , Siwa is an oasis in the middle of the desert full with water springs also you can make car safari and sand diving , you can see Pharaonic civilization , Roman civilization , Greek civilization , you can buy handmade clothing and carpet , you need at least 4 days to cover the place .
