When booking this holiday we were hoping to stay at a hotel that we had been before but when this was not available I spoke to a friend that lives in Sharm and he recommended Rehana Hotel. This is in the same Nabq area so as we knew the area we booked. As it turned out it was right next door to our previous hotel so we were very happy.
On arrival we were greeted very nicely by the staff and given a trip through the resort on a golf buggie being shown the various places of interest. It would have been nice to have been given a map of the resort at this point as it seems rather large when you first get there.
The room we were given was in the 9000s and in a very quite part of the complex. Right near one of the smaller pools and away from all the noise of the entertainment. The room was clean, spacious and we were very happy overall.
There are loads of things going on in the complex. The animation team seem to be doing something all through out the day. From Aquarobics, arabic lessons, Salsa classes, volleyball in the day to the nightly show in the open air theatre. They were very engaging. Yes a lot of it is based around the Russians but they do make up 80% of the hotel usage. But they accomodate everyone and I was astounded how many languages the main animation guy spoke!.
There are loads of pools here. From the quite by apartment pools to the main two pools you have a good choice and they are staffed and very clean.
If you are ever hungry in this resort then there is something seriously wrong with you. There is food laid on almmost 24 hours a day in various forms. Main restaurants, buffets, snacks, breakfasts. All were really good and catered for most people. The only thing I would say was that as a veggie it would have been nice to have a labels for things in the main restaurant but this is being extremely picky.
We had during our visit a problem with our room and this was unavoidable by the resort so Hani (Manager) offered us upgrade to a suite. But as these were above the entertainment we declined and accepted a standard room in the next block. For our inconvience Hani ensured that we were treated like royalty from then on (we already felt spoilt) we had free internet, fruit basket, mini bar, access to restaurants in the other resort and generally anything we required we were helped with.
I got sun stroke from a day out on a boat and when Hani saw my other half without me he asked where I was. Robert explained and Hani organised food to be delivered to the room and offered to send the doctor. This was really nice.
I want to mention some staff by name as to me they made sure we were really enjoying ourselves at all times. Firstly Ezzal (might not be spelt right sorry) he was the ported from reception. He was an absolute gem for the hotel and to be honest I was really sorry to say goodbye to him. Whenever we were in the reception he made sure everything was okay and helped us with anything we needed. A real blessing. Then Hani and Mardy from the starbar. Such characters. Made us laugh and drinks most evenings. Very hard workers. Moustafa from the food court the happy chappie barman who had a drink and smile ready whenever we arrived. He put up with rude people with such skill. Elsyid (May not be spelt right) from reception. He speaks really good english and was our main point of contact throughout our stay.
I alway say the sign of a good holiday is not wanting to come home. Well we not only didnt want to come home but Robert was trying to work out how we could move there.
Overall I cant find much to complain about and anyone staying there will have a brilliant time if they engage with the staff and allow them to look after you.

My fiancé and I have just returned home from a 2 week stay at the rehana sharm resort. Overal we had a really nice holiday, the grounds and pools are lovely and the rooms cleaned daily. The hotel is 95% russian which wasnt a problem for us, mainly couples and familys. However they do like to put towels down in more then one place and move from one sun bed to another at different times and never say please or thank you.

The staff are good and friendly, if your english they will pour you a proper beer and let you take the plastic cups around the pool as long as you take them back, I find a little daily tip helps otherwise its a small paper cup with a mouthful of beer in.

The only downside unfortunately was the food, we used the ale carte Indian restaurant on the third day and it made us both very ill so we didnt eat dinner in the resort again. We got a taxi from the resort taxi desk to the restaurants further down for 70 egyptian pounds return and was well worth it.....they have a TGI's, hard rock café and chinese which were lovely!

Word of warning do not used the pharmacy opposite, we were charged 80 egyptian pounds for tablets and a few days later we noticed a very small price stamp on the back and it was actually on 5 egyptian pounds. Quite a common theme out there you will be ripped off at some point.

So a nice resort, great value for money as was very cheap......dont think ill be returning though.

We went to the Rehana a while ago so I can't comment on it in recent months, but while we were there we received nothing but excellent service from the staff. The rooms were clean and the towel animals were a nice treat after a day lounging by the pools or snorkelling with the amazing fishes and coral.
The food was basic and the meat wasn't great, but there was always something to eat - particularly cakes! The soups were lovely - everyday something different and home made and just scrummy.
The alcohol was not good, but I think that's par for the course in an Islamic country - apparently the lager was good, but I don't drink the stuff so can't comment. Wine was OK, but spirits were a bit like paint stripper - I got used to it though!
The pools were good and varied - we went in November so the heated pool with the flume was greatly appreciated, because although the weather was great the days were too short too properly warm the pools.
Me and my boyfriend had a great time here and if we returned to Sharm el Sheikh we would return here. Great value for money.
