Ignore all the rubbish reviews, I'm not a snob, but have expectations, It is not 5 star as we expect, but in the Egyptian standards, you couldn't ask for any more.

Food is beautiful, something for everyone, including picky eaters (like my son)

Trips we went on St Catherines Monestary, Star Gazing in the Desert at night, camel riding, Quad Biking, Soho Shopping resort (free trip through your rep), and Naama Bay!

Get used to haggling, don't be afraid, Egyptians never get offended. If you get sunburnt, buy some Camel Milk and Sandalwood. Leave camel milk on for 20 mins, wash off, then whilst damp, rub a little sandalwood oil in your skin, you will be back in the sun the following day - Honest!!!!!!

There is a hotel nearby with a similar name, and I believe some of the rubbish reviews on here, were actually meant for that hotel. There is nothing to fault with this hotel.

Any family will love this holiday - Want to go back next year!!!!!!!

Having read other reviews of this hotel we were a bit concerned. We have been to Egypt 6 times and this is a very good hotel by Egyptian standards i.e. you will never get as good as say Mexico etc. We felt the holiday overall was excellent for the price.

Hotel/Grounds - Good size, located on the beach, very clean.

Rooms - Well furnished and cleaned daily. Bit noisy as poor sound proofing.

Food - Good quality and choice, caters for various nationalities, don't expect the full English Breakfast because due to religious reasons, Egyptian hotels rarely serve pork. We had to take it in turns to go to the buffet as on one occasian we returned to our table to find another couple sat there, directed there by the waiters, even though we left with our drinks on the table and had only had a starter. Didn't use the chargable (yes chargable, even though it is meant to be all inclusive) as these were expensive and in our opinion, offered a poor menu choice.

Drinks - Good Sakara lager, nice Italian wine served in the restaurants only, terrible cocktails (the only nice ones were served on the Cocktail night welcome party), water available from the coolers at the side of the bars and in the restaurants (self service).

Pools - Several throughout the complex but all very cold! Sun loungers could normally be found quickly. The Jacuzzi was always packed with young kids

Beach - Plenty of sun loungers. Clean. Bit windy for the first couple of days. Excellent snorkelling, in shallow water but much better off the jetty into 45' depth by the reef. Spoilt by the harassment from the Body Art people for massages, the same man asked us 6 times in one day, even though we gave him a polite 'no thank you' the first time.

Staff - very hardworking. When we received a service, we did tip. In the Palmera restaurant we found we had to fetch our own drinks, but in the Riviera restaurant we were very well served.

Reception - Good service was given during the check-in and with information requested during our stay. Failed to give us our requested 5.15 am alarm call and forgot to book our take-away breakfast (we relied on the alarm on our mobile phones).

Entertainment - not very much going on, but what we saw of the Animation Team was good.

Shops with the hotel complex - offered the basic gifts and it was nice that the vendors did not give us any harassment.

Soho Square - worth using the complimentary bus. It is a very modern shopping centre with no harassment, has a few shops, restaurants, cinema and even an ice skating rink.

Hope this helps, but e-mail me with any other questions.

I have not got time at the moment to write a full review and this will follow. However, I was at this hotel at the very same time as some of the people who wrote bad reviews. I can categorically say that "half of the hotel" was ill. I wasn't ill and I ate a bit of everything. This hotel is really good and the staff are excellent. I do find though that people overindulge both food and alcohol and say the hotel is filthy and germ ridden because they get a dodgy gut!!

As far as all inclusive resorts go this one ticks most of the boxes. The guests are a lively mix of European nationalities and as a result the food served is a good mix of cultures and you are sure to find something that suits your palette. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the accommodation and pool/beach areas are lovely. We went for a cheap and cheerful honeymoon and are already planning our return visit for next year. A+

We go abroad two or three times a year for a break and have been to Sharm before. Well what can we say about this hotel other than I have never been so ill before anywhere in the world. Four days out of the week with d and v, not able to eat anything other than toast and soup. Im not a fussy eater and will try most things but what we witnessed at the hotel was unhygenic. There was a bird in the Palmeria restaurant which I watched land on the cakes and then fly back up we also witnessed one of the waiters touch the food with his bare hand and cut of a big slice of meat for his dinner later. The plastic cups used round the pools were never washed properly and they were collected and rinsed through rather than thrown away . Maybe its just because we Brits expect more hygene than Eastern European countries of which there were many arrogant holidaymakers. Apart from that little moan I will never go back to Egypt again this hotel has put me off for life

well i came to this hotel with my dad, we really enjoyed ourselfs stayed a week and the weather was gorgeous! the hotel was clean! we had fresh clean sheets on our beds everyday and clean towels. the food was basically the same most nights but was eatable. i would reccomend people to go to this hotel. the staff are very friendly but there not much to do on a night. also over the road from the hotel you get hassled alot. about 15min walk up the road there is a english pub which is really good called the three crowns. go there for a nice steak :)

this hotel has the potential of being very good but was seriously understaffed and the food was very poor half the hotel went down with a tummy bug when we were there 3 out of our party of 4 went down with it same food every day chicken + beef,
as for the bar service there was a serious shortage of staff you queued for ages to be served with ony one person serving then they were always running out of there plastic cups that they serve you from so the barman would disapear for 15 min to collect them we stayed for 7 nights and went out for dinner & used the local bars a short taxi ride away for the last 3 nights,, Icecreams were not free - water from water coolers at the bar only.Avoid room 5104 it was full of ants (the size of spiders) Maintainence did come and spray the room 3 times but to avail. Best shop is the supermarket across the road by boots pharmacy. Avoid Jamaica Dream shop at all COSTS .. he was extremely rude to my wife including telling her she was not in england now as she disagreed (NO ARGUEMENT TOOK PLACE SHE JUST SAID IT WAS INCORRECT) about the exchange rate he was offering us. Taxi were extremely cheap - hotel was 4 times aqsmuch - they start high but it only cost us 50.00EL to the airport for 4 of us
