We returned a couple of weeks ago after spending a week at this hotel, and a really lovely time, the hotel and grounds are absolutely immaculate, it was a really beautiful setting, the rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily and leaving the cleaners a pound every other day really does get you an exceptional service and some amazing towel art. The swimming pools, are lovely, always clean, due to it not being very busy while were there, only two of the pools seemed to be used but even when it is busy you could see that there would be plenty of options for sunning yourself. The beach was lovely, although the corral stopped you from paddling, you could walk up the jetty and snorkel in the sea, which my boyfriend did a few times and said the fish were amazing. The food wasn't amazing in the buffet restaurant but at the same time it wasn't dreadful like some of the reviews say, even the fussiest of eater would find something to eat, I mean there is always eggs, croissants, pancakes, omelettes, toast etc for breakfast, lunch there was always chips, 3 choices of pastas, salads, chicken and other meats and the same for dinner. We often had lunch at the beach restaurant and it shows if you tip a couple of pounds every couple of days your table is ready for you with your drinks before you even get there, our waiter was really lovely :) The Italian restaurant was lovely and is deffo worth a visit, but the falafel was our favourite by far, the food was great. Service in this hotel was amazing everyone so friendly, the spa was lovely too, we had 3 trips in total and the man that did my boyfriends massage all three times was brilliant unfortunately can't remember his name, but my boyfriend being a plumber had a bad back and bad legs, and since we've been home has had no problems at all. We did a VIP boat trip where we dived and snorkelled absolutely amazing, my second time in the red sea, and wasn't disappointed. The hotel puts on a free bus to soho square on a Tuesday night, I'd recommend going there it's not far and you don't get hassled by anyone we went on the Tuesday night and then got a taxi on the Friday and went again, had an amazing indian there !! So all in all a very enjoyable holiday, the only suggestion I'd make is the pool bar (main bar) closes at 11pm as that's when the All Inc ends, it would be good if that could stay open a bit later as most nights weren't ready to finish drinking. If we return to Egypt we will deffo be coming back to this hotel though, it was lovely.

Room Tip: Tiran block seems to be the best

I would just like to say We stayed for 16 nights a group of 4 ladies it was amazing the rooms were spotless the animation team was brilliant especially Sam and cheeko the lads around the pool bar was brilliant Ramadan and mohamed Ali made sure we always had drinks recommend cocktails on a daily basis even hot today's when I wasn't feeling well with a cold nothing was to much trouble for these guys who work none stop all day from 9am till 11pm every evening the waiters were also amazing especially Ibrahim kamel always had a lovely smile and couldn't do enough for us all always a brew ready for us at meal times also amr the waiter who gave us good service with a smile 😊 the reception staff were very accommodating especially nadir at night and mohamed saad in the day make our stay memorable even the security made us safe every night when we returned back to the hotel from our nights out would defiantly recommend this hotel can't wait to go back again in sept one of our ladies had special dietary requirements the chef Mosaffa made sure she had a meal every day also like to say thank you to Ahmed the hotel taxi service who made sure our taxi took us and picked us back up on time in all the whole of the staff at this hotel made our stay perfect once again A great big thank u from all of us Lorraine angie Elaine and chris can't wait to see you all again soon can we have the same rooms Tiran block room 1029 and room 1031

We stayed at the grand plaza for 8 days..it was a fantastic place..really clean & tidy..staff were all lovely..
We are planning a return trip next year as the service was just so good..loved every minute of staying at the grand place.thanks x

We arrived late at the hotel (10.45)pm after travelling all day to get there. We asked about food and drink and were told there was nothing, although we could order room service and pay for something, We did not even have water in our rooms. We thought this was very poor, When we explained that a member of our party had diabetes they said they would send dome food for him, It took an hour and half for some salad, cold meat and bread rolls to arrive.The next day we were on the beach at the beech bar and were told the beer had run out, we went up to the pool bar and that had also run out of beer, Bearing in mind they were the only all inclusive bars that were ever open over the 2 weeks, and the only other alcoholic choices were vodka gin rum and whisky with very watered down mixers. All stopped at 11 pm. After complaining to the manager beer arrived 20 mins later. If he had not been around it is anyone's guess how long it would have been?? Later on we bumped into the manager again in the restaurant and expressed our concerns regarding the lack of service in the restaurant and at the bars. The lack of choice with the drinks. The bar closing so early. The lack of evening entertainment. The disco was closed. The hotel had only 20% occupancy and so many of the staff had gone on compulsory leave. There was nowhere inside you could have an all inclusive drink. The manager said he would look at our comments and see what he could do and to his credit he did. The next day a cocktail menu appeared at the pool bar which was popular with everyone. The staff in the dining room became helpful and the chefs would come up and offer to cook or get you anything you wanted. The tea was the best tea I have ever had abroad. There was not a lot of choice of food but the quality was good. Mafusah (hope I have spelt it right) the chef made the most amazing spaghetti bolognaise. Adel our waiter was brilliant. At the pool bar Said and Eid were great remembering our drinks and bringing them to the table when we sat down.The pool guys were also fantastic saving our beds for us. The pool, our rooms, the beech and the snorkling were all excellent and the climate was the most gorgeous I have known anywhere. We went by taxi to Soho( organised by the guy in the hotel lobby sorry I forgot his name but he made sure we got there and back safely) well worth the trip,
Also for bargains cross over the road outside the hotel and go into the shop selling converse shoes, he also sells ghds, earphones etc brilliant quality/ A couple in our party got sick one quite badlly. We do not know what from but the staff could have not been more helpful. They would cook anything and help in any way they could.
So ......we had a good holiday..........it was quiet, i would say for couples or families not looking for excitement. Thank you Mr Ahmed for improving what started out as a bit of a nightmare.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience that may happened and to confirm that late dinner is always arranged in main restaurant from 10.30 pm to 1 am if we are advised in advance of arrival time.For your information, we decided to have as a back-up some items available for un-known late arrivals.
Yes we 100 % agree that beer should not run out at two bars simultaneously and appropriate actions have been taken.
The evening entertainment takes place every day at the hotel main theatre starting at 07:30 pm by children movies till the adult show at 09:30 pm. N.U.T.S. is normally open daily from 11 pm till 2 am, however due to urgent safety maintenance work (wooden floor had to be changed as it had been coming up) the Disco was closed for 6 days, we do apologize for this but the safety of our clients comes always first.
Rest assure that all your comments will be taken into consideration and issues which are feasible to do will be done. Also please note that the timing of the All inclusive is as per contracted agreement with all our partners and also advertised accordingly as well as stated in the info package our guest receive upon check-in.
We do hope that we will be able to welcome you again to Sharm Grand Plaza Resort.

We stayed in the Sharm Grand Plaza, Nabq Bay for the second successive year during October 2013. The hotel was only at some 25% capacity due to the adverse news coverage about events elsewhere in Egypt.

The hotel is well situated and a definite 4+ stars. The accommodation is spacious and clean if perhaps a little tired in some places. The food is good although a little more variety might spice things up as far as our personal tastes concerned. The facilities are excellent, in particular the new health club, and the pool and beach locations are superb.

The single biggest plus however are the staff - all the staff! From top to bottom the friendliness, quality of service and helpfulness are outstanding; a particular mention needs to go to the newly appointed Customer Services Manager, Helene Debain, who is without doubt the first among equals!

Will we be going back? Definitely!

Where to start. We had a great holiday.
The resort is 10 mins from the airport and is lovely. The pools were very clean and the staff never stopped working round the clock. The grounds are immaculate and we can't fault the place.
The room was of a high standard and the bed was really comfortable with good quality pillows. It was cleaned daily fresh towels provided. The air con worked well and was nicely blended in to the build.
Reception area was immaculate.
Sadly wifi is not free which does let it down a little. It is £10 sterling a day in the room or you can buy a card from reception. If you want free wifi there are plenty of other resorts with it and there is a bar across the road from the resort called the Union Jack. It is British with free wifi although that didn't work very often but they did do great steaks.
It is unfair to name individual staff as the majority were great and to name individuals without naming all would be unjust. They are GREAT. That said, there were 2 staff, Cheeko and Teeko who worked for the salon. My girlfriend had her nails done there and they weren't good. Chipped within a day and many people were disappointed with their service. They constantly hassled you and came up and made a pain of themselves even when you hung the do not disturb sign from the bedroom on the pool umbrellas. Everyone else respected this bar those two.
My advice is hang this sign on your sun bed umbrella on day 1 or you will be bombarded with people trying to sell you trips.
The star gazing wasn't great, you saw 3 stars and the moon through a telescope and that was it. Food wasn't great and there was a lot of sitting round when you got to the location.
Snorkelling trip was also good but again, food was not great.
We booked all our trips through the people on the resort. Quite safe and about half the price the holiday reps charge.
There is a private beech with a solid pontoon to walk out on and snorkel from.
Food was really good with something for everyone. Chefs can't do enough for you.
A fantastic time all in all and would certainly go back again.
If you want a good clean holiday in Sharm, go to the Sharm Grand Plaza.

Room Tip: Titan block was very good.
