My husband and I have recently returned form 2 weeks at the Sharm Grand Plaza Resort. We had a great two weeks and thought that the hotel and facilities overall were excellent. Obviously there are the odd things that the hotel could improve on but you would get that with any hotel wherever you go. We requested a quiet room and were give one behind the quieter pool at the top of the complex. The room was clean and spacious and had a large balcony overlooking the grounds and the back of the swimming pool. The swimming facilities at the hotel were excellent with a number of swimming pools and a lazy river. The beach area was great and there were always enough loungers to go around. We had a lovely time snorkelling off the jetty and seeing the interesting marine life. The food was plentiful and there was enough choice that it is not necessary to eat the same thing every night (unless of course you are a fussy eater and don’t eat much which isn’t the hotel’s fault). We ate in both restaurants on different nights. My only criticism of the smaller restaurant (I can’t remember whether it was the Palmera or the Riviera but it’s the one without the dress code) is that during our 2nd week it was a bit too warm as if the air con wasn’t working as well as it had the 1st week. We enjoyed playing petanque on the beach and darts which were organised by the animation team and met some nice Russian and Polish people as a result of us joining in these games. The evening entertainment is more geared towards the kids but that didn’t bother us. When we first arrived we thought that an all inclusive finish time of 11pm was a bit early but as the holiday went on we came to realise that for us 11 was fine as we were usually tired by then anyway after spending the day in the sun. If I’m being honest though I do think a midnight end to the all inclusive would be better and would be an easy way for the hotel to seem more generous and please its adult guests. I had a manicure / pedicure in the beauty parlour which was very reasonably priced and my husband and I both had a massage. In the first few days the people coming to try and sell beauty treatments and excursions can seem a bit irritating but the men soon came to realise that we weren’t particularly interested and tended to leave us alone. We would definitely go back to the Grand Plaza and would recommend it. I tried to give it 4.5 stars but didn't seem to be able to.

Room Tip: Rooms by the smaller, quieter swimming pool are quieter. All rooms have either a pool view or garde...

Been back a week from the Sharm Grand Plaza and had a great time, the hotel is lovely and the people who work the bars could not do enough for you. There is so many pools all kept very clean and tested every day. The beach is amazing plenty of sun beds, you can walking off the jetty into the sea were you can snorkling and see lots of different coloured fish (mainly parrot fish) if you are lucky you might see Nemo who lives in the coral in deeper water. The food was very good always something different everynight. The hotel manager walks around checking the area and is always open to suggestionsd, we asked about some fans for the outside area in the evening as it is very warm, he said already ordered and should be in place over the next few weeks. The manager opened up the disco in the evening 7 till 11 AI for British guests it was lovely and cool in there and we had some fun. The rooms were large and cleaned every day. My overall view of this hotel is excellent and cannot wait to return there next yeat. My hat go's off to the manager who has worked very hard achieve a very good quality hotel. P.S the only problem we had was no bacon for breakfast, but I am sure you could live with out it for a few weeks. The Polish are not nice people very rude.

Me and my partner have just returned from sharm grand plaza after 2 fantastic weeks .This was our third time there and we are going back in November The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble, Sayed Basuony the lifeguard was very nice, he always had a smile and always stopped to chat with you and he was very helpful. When he stops to chat ask him about his "nice cans" he will know what you mean! The only problem is the Polish, Russians, and the Italians they are very rude pushing and shoving at meal times, but we didnt let them ruin our holiday.Thankyou everyone for making our holiday we cant wait to return . See you all in November

Just returned from a 11 day all inclusive holiday. We read a lot of reviews on here before going so we did not know what to expect after reading mixed reviews. However the resort was beyond our expectations. From the moment we landed in sharm we were looked after and since we arrived at the hotel quite late the staff looked after us as soon as we got off the bus. Everyone that works there is so friendly and so respectful and will do anything to make your time memorable. The resort itself is very very clean and well laid out. They take pride in there premises and were regularly polishing the floors and looking after the gardens. Our room was a very good size with a balcony and was cleaned every single day with fresh towels aswell as a fresh, sealed bottle of mineral water daily. We were unsure at first about the water but on day one our rep explained that all water in the reort is mineral including the ice but we were not to drink the tap water. The food was general but good variety for everyone. All together a fantastic holiday and we would certainly return to the same sort in years to come, great weather, great resort and perfect company. Definitely recommend this to anyone.

Room Tip: Garden view with balcony

I just returned home on 5th july from grand plaza, myself and my partner stayed for 10 days, we are both 23. We visited egypt last year and stayed in baron palms, we were expecting alot as we had such a great time. The hotel resort itself is huge, the grounds are spotless and well kept it is beautiful, we stayed in tiran block in a sea view room which turned out to be upgraded to a suite when we checked in! Our room was perfect, it was spacious and extremely well kept, cleaned everyday fresh towels etc left and towel art on the bed depending on who cleaned the room. There was a walk in wardrobe area that led to the bathroom, all very nice, tv had a few english channels and music channels not that we minded we didnt plan to spend long periods there anyway. Our view was a stone throw from the beach it was beautiful, also there was a security gard 24hours who sat at the end of beach at both ends, one right outside our block which was good.
Check in was very quick and efficient, and the bell boy brought our cases to our room, he didnt ask for a tip but we give him one.
Reception is very big, it looked similar to our hotel from last year, they are all kind of similar in their own ways it seems. The bar in reception was not all inclusive though which is not good if you want to sit there and relax out of the heat.
The pool areas are lovely, we spent all our time at the luna pool closest to the beach, it was right beside our room, it had music going and a really good atmosphere we loved it, there was aqua aerobics and dance in the pool everyday it was so lively, if you like loud music and games then this pool will suit you, we loved it. There was also yoga on the grass behind most days. We were up about 8am most days and were able to get a sunbed, it seemed the italians and russians were up from crack of dawn though!! The nino pool is up at the top end of the resort it is very quiet we went up for a walk and had a look its lovely but it wasnt for us, we liked the hype at the other pool! The lazy river pool is beautiful, there is no sunbeds round it as it seems to be for show, but there is alot of building going on beside it so maybe thats why there isnt sunbeds there. You can go in it and swim, we went in for a swim and took a few pictures, some people lay on the grass in the middle, no one seemed to mind. The beach area was also very nice, great sunbeds and always plenty to choose from, theres a towel kiosk at the pool and beach, you hand in your towel card in return for a towel this is fantastic the towels are huge and very good. The beach itself is nice although its shallow and very rocky in the water you do need sea shoes to walk about, and they are very strict about walking near coral, this wasnt a problem for us as our beach last year was similar. The jetty was great, big long walkway and a guy at the end watching over everyone, a few days the red flag was up and we couldnt swim as the waves and current were too strong, but when we did go in to snorkel it was brilliant, it was extremely deep compared to our reef the year before, there were hundreds of beautiful fish if you swam out a bit some were huge they arent even phased by you either they brush past you! Bring a good underwater camera!! You wont be disappointed.
Most days we ate in the main buffet restaurant the riviera i think it was, beside the italian a la carte, it was very nice, there is plenty of choice and you will always find something. Each night has a theme for dinner different countries, breakfast has a great selection, and lunch very nice aswell. The is another buffet restaurant at the other end of the resort exactly the same, the palmera i think, we didnt go here as it was a good walk away but it served the same food, the only bad thing about the restaurant is the italians and russians!! They are horrible and they act like food is going out of fashion!! They push in and shove you and have absolutely no manners they are a disgrace to the staff also! I would get to lunch early as they eat the place out!! Same with dinner!! The staff in the restaurant are lovely, they are very pleasant and they love a laugh! Give them your time and they will look after you they dont deserve rudeness! We met some lovely staff during our stay!! Inbetween meals you can get snacks at the pool bars like chips burgers chicken or dognuts etc, handy enough. The grill house is also open for lunch. All part of all inclusive! Drinks are self service, you get a cup and get your own coke fanta sprite etc from a machine, also water fruit juice, orange, apple. We tended to buy big bottles of water and drink that during the day though as it was extremely hot and the small cups were not enough! A large bottle of water was £1 you could refill it from the water machine once it was done though if you wished!
Alot of people come round the pool everyday and try to sell you trips , spa treamtment, newspapers, in general they arent too bad, we spoke to a few and after chatting they never bothered us once again!! We had a massage by the pool which was fanstastic, again the spa people never bothered us, and we got friendly with the newspaper man he wasnt a bad guy hes just tryin to earn money!! A simple no thank you and im not interested they get the hint and shouldnt bother you! We learnt last year if you are nice to these people and honest they appreciate it more instead of snapping at them!! Some of the trips are fanstastic though and worth doing, tiran island for snorkelling, we swam with dolphins also, and the buggies seemed very popular in the desert!
Entertainment team were very good! Although it was mostly in italian which sucked as you couldnt understand half the time, when they announced stuff at the pool there was only one guy who translated to english then there was 1 english rep dominique, which was nice, he was very good making the effort with all the british to involve them! Theres always something going on and its definetely not quiet. We really enjoyed it. They make such an effort to involve everyone in their dances at the pool everyday and it was such good fun.
Aqua gym was my favourite. We ate in the a la carte italian on our last night we were invited by management for a free meal there. Im so sorry we didnt go sooner as we would have happily paid to eat there! The service was the best we experienced throughout the holiday and the restaurant was just beautiful! The food was delicious and we both really enjoyed it. It was perfect end to holiday. Overall we had an amazing time at this hotel and for what we paid we thought it was perfect. Its in a great location and we walked along the beach right past the other hotels and we thought ours was the best from looking. The rest seemed empty. I would recommend it to anyone visiting sharm its good value for money some of the hotels are ridiculously expensive. Thanks for a great holiday to remember sharm grand plaza! From room 1041. :-)

We arrived late and were directly given our wrist bands & rushed to the restaurant to get our meal before even booking in to ensure we didn't go hungry.we were then showed to our room unfortunatly our fridge & air conditioning wasnt working properly but after going to reception the duty manager came with us & after a little wait both were fixed.
The staff were absolutly Brill every day asking if there were any problems. This hotel was continually being cleaned everywhere and the staff are wonderful considering the long hours they work and the rude attitude that some of the customers speak to them in.
Mahameed the cleaner came to see us everyday and cleaned the room to a very high standard.
The food and Beverage manager and executive head chef made us most welcome in fact because i am a restaurant manager in England the took me around the kitchen which at the time was being cleaned down by everyone & was as good as a 5* kitchen at home .The food was good but somtimes the Beef cuts would have stood a bit longer in the oven, everything else was very goodThe waiters were on the Ball always there to get a coffee or your next drink without being asked, Rabbean was especially good and the one who mimiced us "English".The beach was good, better the last few days when the superviser was off as he was very abrupt & rude to the beach boys there shouting in front of the customers. The new nuts nightclub was good and entertainment staff all eager for all to join in.I had massages they we good too.
This was a very enjoyable 2 week holiday and we would defiatly recommend it.xxx julie

Stayed at the Sharm Grand Plaza hotel for 2 weeks with my Family at the beginning of June. Really loved the hotel, the grounds were beautiful and the staff are so friendly.
Been to Egypt 2 times before and this time we wanted a hotel that was on the beach as some of them you have to get a shuttle bus.
The pools are really nice with different ones to choose from if you want more of a quiet area.
The food is good with a variety of different choices for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
The rooms are really big, cleaned everyday and all with really nice views.
The beach is lovely with a Private Jetty that you can jump off and Snorkel.
The hotel is in a great location about 10 minutes from the Airport and Soho Square.
A Taxi to Soho Sqaure cost around £8 there and back per car organised by the transport guy in the reception. Its a great place to shop and always have lots going on and no pressure to buy anything!
Went on a boat trip organised by the Dive Centre in the hotel, we had a speed boat to ourselves (6 of us) and cost around £25 per person, they took us out to Tiran Island where we snorkeled and on the way back saw lots of Dolphins.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Sharm Grand Plaza and would definatly return.
