We have just returned from sea club hotel and from the minute we walked in it was perfect, this continued throughout our holiday. We arrived an hour later than scheduled, the staff were very welcoming and showed us to our room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We then went to the main restaurant as the staff had prepared us a late dinner. Nothing in this hotel was to much trouble for the staff in fact they were happy they could help. Our rep Ash was also very helpful and kept in touch during our stay to assure everything was ok. There was plenty of food to choose from and there was a choice of different restaurants eg japanese, lebanese, italian. The hotel grounds including the pool were lovely, spotless and constantly being maintained. As we had our two children with us the staff always made an effort to speak and have fun with them which made there day! We were sorry to leave and are already looking to return.

We have just returned from the Sea Club and one word sums up this hotel ... fantastic! I traveled with with my husband and 2 children aged 12 & 14. When we arrived at the hotel around 21:40 we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and encouraged to head straight to the main restaurant before being taken to our rooms. Immediately we were all very impressed by the staff, hotel and food. Throughout the holiday we found the food to be varied, fresh and always found something to suit everyone. We didn't eat in the main restaurants of the sister hotels as we were always happy with the food available in our main restaurant, however the option is there if for example you would prefer one of the other menus on offer at the sister hotels. There are also three A la carte restaurants you can book, we didn't try the Italian but sampled the Lebanese and Japanese and can highly recommend both.
I was impressed that unlimited sealed bottled water was readily available at any time of the day/evening which is a must in the heat, including 2 large bottles in the fridge in our room upon arrival. This isn't always the case in other hotels!
The hotel mainly comprised of Italian and Russian guests with English being the minority, however we didn't find the Russian guests to be rude at all as others have previously suggested on here. We also found the restaurant catered for all nationalities.
The hotel is located beachfront with ample sunbeds and beautiful shallow water to explore. There is a jetty that will take you past the shallow water to the sheer drop into the clear blue water where you can snorkel. Both the beach and the jetty have a life guard on duty.
Unlike many other hotels there wasn't ever a rush for the sunbeds as no one reserves beds before going off to breakfast etc. The pool area wasn't ever crowded but was at its busiest around 11-12 then again towards the end of the day around 4-6. The pool bar and waiters were extremely helpful. One waiter in particular called Maged, made us feel as though nothing was too much trouble. He brought us bottles of water as soon as we arrived at the pool each day and kept checking on us throughout the day to bring us more refreshments, he even got to know the sort of thing we liked to drink including bringing me a coffee mid morning and late afternoon. He was fantastic! Thank you Maged!
Unfortunately there isn't anything directly outside the hotel within walking distance but the hotel is situated just a short taxi ride away from the heart of Nabq and Soho Square. A visit to Soho is highly recommended!
The evening entertainment needs improvement and could do with more professional acts, having said that Jiorje in the animation team worked incredibly hard to ensure guests were entertained and often talked to people to gain feedback and listen to suggestions and ideas to improve the evening entertainment.
When we booked this hotel we were told about building work in progress next to the hotel, this did not disturb us at all and often didn't even notice it.
The Thomson rep Ash was great and often checked in with us to ensure everything was OK, as did our cleaner who also kept checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Small touches like the staff calling our room to make sure we were having a good time and everything was OK, was really appreciated. We really felt as though we were treated like VIP's the whole holiday. We would defiantly book again and are already looking to for next year!
The Harvey family.

this hotel was also part of the three hotels that made up this hotel complex we used the kiosk bar a few times at night and found it very relaxing. One of our party was unwell we took her to see the doctor in this hotel he was really good with her and could not do enough for her I was a bit concerned about the bill because of the amount of time he spent on her but he sorted everything out and showed me what to do about insurance which was very good. And the other staff were all very good. Overall a very good hotel

Room Tip: all the rooms I saw seemed very good

We were at the Sea Club Hotel, at the end of June 2013. We have been going there 2 -3 times every year, for the last 7 or 8 years. We have always been well looked after by all of the staff, the staff at the beach bar, the staff at the pool bar, the staff at the lobby bar, the staff in all of the restaurants, the managers, and the cleaning staff. Every one is polite and helpful, have a great knowledge of most languages, and will do everything to make you feel at home, and make your stay as pleasant as possible. In all the years we have stayed at Sea Club, We have had very few problems, either with the rooms or the food, but any problems have always been dealt with straight away. I see some people say they get sick because of the food, it isn't the food at fault, I know the food is all washed in bottled water, NOT local tap water, so this isn't the cause of sickness. Mostly it is because people don't keep hydrated enough with water, (free all around the hotel) and then lay out, unprotected in the 38-44 degree heat. Look after yourself in the mid day sun, like the Egyptians do, and you won't get sick. The food I find is varied, but well prepared and tasty. The rooms are well looked after by the cleaners. The grounds are well maintained and clean, no rubbish anywhere, there are ashtrays all over the grounds, and around all common areas. Even the beach is totally clean.
All the guys in the dive centre, are a joy to spend time with. The reception guys and managers as all helpful and polite. They even went out of their way to help me at 6am, to get me a dentist, on one occasion, when I had a severe toothache. You cannot get better service than that.
So what are you waiting for, get booked up for the Sea Club Hotel. It's a great place, I wouldn't go back there every year, if it wasn't.
Alan Owen and Shirley Whibley.

Room Tip: Smile and be polite, and ask for a pool or beach view room.

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic two week holiday at the Sea Club Resort in Nabq Bay, Sharm El Shiekh and would like to thank the management team and wonderful staff for making this a holiday to remember!

We arrived at about 9.30pm and thought we would have missed dinner that night but the kind and helpful reception staff took our basic details, told us to go to the restaurant and get some dinner whilst they looked after our luggage and we could then come back and complete our check-in.

This first impression was to be continued throughout our holiday - all of the staff we met were a credit to the hotel and could not do enough for us. We would like to give special mention to Emad and Gamal at the Pool Bar, who looked after us wonderfully every day and to Wael who looked after us fantastically at the Barracuda Island bar at night.

We didn't get everyone's names but all of the staff at the bars, restaurant and pool were excellent.

Customer service is clearly a priority at this resort - we were invited to a VIP cocktail and canapé reception with the management team and met Laura, Guest Relations Manager. Laura wanted to know everything about our stay and our thoughts on all aspects of our holiday and the service we were receiving. We also received a telephone call in our room from the Reception Manager half way though our stay, just to make sure everything was ok and we were happy.

Our Thomson rep, Ashraf was excellent and made sure we knew exactly when he was available and a 24hr contact number should we have any problems or need any help.

We would also like to mention the cleanliness of the whole resort, internally and externally. A team of gardeners and cleaners were at work constantly, day and night and the place is spotless.
Our lovely cleaners kept our room wonderfully clean and tidy and always greeted us with a smile. Each afternoon we returned from the pool, to find our beds made with flower petals scattered around and the towels made into a variety of flowers and animals - it was so lovely.

During our first couple of days, we were "pestered" by quite a few people selling excursions, massages, beauty treatments, etc. However, as soon as you had told them you were not interested, they never bothered you again but gave a cheerful "hello" and a wave as they passed us. We had some great banter with Kareem, who was based at the Forme beauty salon in the reception of the Sea Life part of the resort - he sold me two pedicures and a facial, which were wonderful, and at a fraction of the cost it would have been here at home in the UK. The salon staff were all lovely and polite and Kareem was really good fun - stopping to chat with us whenever he was around, without ever pressuring us to buy more treatments. These people are just doing a job and they leave you alone if you say no - there is no need to be rude and they were never over-bearing and never pressurised us.

We found the food to be wonderful, with a massive amount of variety at every meal. My husband is a really fussy eater but he tried loads of new things and thoroughly enjoyed everything he tried.

Having read some of the reviews left here recently, we honestly cannot believe we stayed at the same hotel as some of the people who have left negative reviews. Yes, there were a lot of Russian guests there and a lot of them were very rude but this is not the fault of the staff or the hotel - it is the fault of those people who have no manners. We witnessed staff being spoken to with utter contempt on occasions but we were treated like royalty - perhaps because we were polite to these lovely staff and treated them with the respect they deserved? Something to think about perhaps - "do unto others......." as the saying goes?!

We have also read some complaints on here about only getting local spirits included in the all inclusive deal - this is made very clear when you book the and, in my experience, is pretty much standard on all inclusive holidays.

So no complaints from us, but rather a massive thank you to all at Sea Club for a wonderful holiday, made even more memorable by your wonderful staff - an absolute credit to you!

Room Tip: We had a garden view room just a short walk from the main reception/restaurant area - it was lovely...

Returned from Sea club resort on the 30th of June 2013......I would like to start by saying that other reviews will leave you with a very poor impression of this hotel, purely based on the food, however I personally think this is unfair.
Hotel - this hotel is well laid out with beautifully kept public areas, gardens and rooms, the images you see in the brochure are exactly what you see when you arrive.
The rooms have good quality aircon and are kept very clean by the house keeping staff who will impress you on a daily basis with the towel art, no swans or hearts for us, oh no.. crocodiles the full length of the queen size bed and monkeys hanging in door ways... the only eyebrow raiser for me was wall paper in the walk in shower????... but still very clean and great quality shower.

Pool - regardless of the signage confirmation in the welcome pack that beds should not be reserved at the pool or beach, the much mentioned Russians insist on toweling up the beds then sloping off for breakfast.... YOU CAN NOT BEAT THEM...so join them, if like us you are not always around for breakfast, you will always get beds, you might just have to move a few around, but you will always get a bed at the beach. Pool is clean, the usual signs of sun tan lotion around the tiled walls of the pool, but you will see the guys clean the pool every night without fail.
Beach is ok, dont expect Caribbean quality sands and walk in sea.... this is a coral beach and as such you will need water shoes to walk in, but this still takes some skill to manage gracefully. To swim in the sea, realistically you will need to wait for the yellow flag and walk to the end of the jetty to get into the deep (17 metres) water, however if you are brave enough, you are in for a treat of a lifetime, we paid for a snorkeling trip and the fish and corals were just as spectacular from the hotel as they were on the trip, if not better.
24 hour all inclusive - drinks yes, food no.
the lobby bar will serve you beers wines and local spirits in the usual "holiday" measures until you want no more.... the barracuda bar until 23:00 - 24:00, the jungle bar (night club ish) you have to pay for drinks, so just wander across to the lobby bar, stock up and then go dance!!

food is not 24 hours, breakfast is 07:30 - 10:30 then the pool bars serves croissants etc until about 11:30 - lunch begins around 12:30 til 14:30 this is at the main restaurant and at the italian/seafood place by the beach, but at the pool bar the serve chips, salad and either pizza or burgers, great for kids. (this is also a good time to grab beds by the pool as the Russians all disappear for a few hours and take their towels.
The selection of food is not brilliant, the a la carte food is slightly better. The salad is fresh, you can see it being grown in the gardens at the front of the hotel, in general the quality of the food is good, it is just not a great selection but, you will always find something you can eat, it might just be a little bit random.
We were not unwell any more than the usual one day, when all that was needed was an imodium and some bottled water... but who has not heard of the pharo's curse.....or other countries equivalent toilet related issues.... it happens where ever you go.

Staff - the staff are wonderful, they can not make you feel more special, you are not made to feel as if you must tip, we did not tip excessively after learning our lessons on past holidays in the Caribbean, we tipped those who we became familiar with but it was not expected every time. The Egyptians appreciate manners as much as any one else and so they tend to give better service to the smiling courteous guests, so in short the Russians in my experience, lost tables and were served after us and other fellow Brits.

overall - we are a married couple in our mid 30's, we wanted guaranteed sunshine and relaxation - we got that with great service and great memories thrown in. Although the hotel's occupancy was 80% Russian it did not ruin the holiday for us, they are rude and ignorant, but being the minority it created an atmosphere where Brits sought each other out.....we met up with another 4 British couples which made the holiday more enjoyable, had we been in an all Brit resort, I am not so sure we would have all come together in the same way.

Sea club resort..... we will return to Egypt one day and we would stay here again without hesitation.
