I approached this holiday with a certain amount of trepidation after a miserable time at Sensatori Sharm last year, however I was really pleasantly surprised. The hotel was fab, lots of room for sunbathing so you're not all sitting on top of one another around the pools. The room wasn't massively fancy but it was clean and had everything we required plus it was really spacious. The buffet restaurant was fine, there was a good variety of food.I am quite a picky eater and was delighted to see that they had always had a selection of dishes prepared freshly in front of you so you didn't just have to select from the buffet options. We did, however, reach the "buffet wall" by day 5 so we mixed it up and went to the Chinese restaurant, whilst not the best Chinese food I have ever eaten it was a nice departure to be served rather than having to do the serving. There a lot of folks trying to sell you trips whilst you sunbathe but we found they respected the fact that we were absolutely not going to do any day trips and just said a quick hello as they passed by as opposed to doing a hard sell for the rest of the week. We loved the resort so much we didn't actually leave it for the entire week we were there, we did all of our shopping in the onsite shops. Kudos to Peter in the handbag shop and Abdullah in the watch shop, they both offer excellent service and value for money. If you go to this resort, don't waste your time haggling in Soho Square or Naama Bay, it's much more relaxing to do a quick post dinner shopping trip within the resort. On the whole, we foiund the staff fantastic, admittedly they did slightly "up the ante" on the our last day to secure a tip, but they worked so hard for us all week, they deserved it. The evening entertainment is OK, we had two girl singers at the beginning of the week who were amazing, followed by two very lovely, but mediocre singers for the final part of the week. It was great to see the waiters put down their trays and join in with the dancing. The only criticism with regard to staff is that the reception folks were a little rude. I travel a lot with my job and am used to staying in top class hotels in the US and Asia, the Jaz Mirabel outdid those hotels in terms of warmth and really making you feel that were truly on holiday. I would definitely recommend this hotel, we may well return next year.

We were two single ladies aged 40+ who visited this hotel, we felt very safe and enjoyed our time, just wish iit was longer. The hotel was very clean and the food was of a high standard. The only negative was that some of the stairways could do with a lick off paint. Special thanks to Lobna, Ahmed the sous chef, mohammed the bar manager, Mohammed the trip organizer And barman Mimi who kept us supplied with drinks.

We will definitely be seeing you all again oct 2014, just wish it was sooner.

If you want a good time, a relaxed holiday go to this hotel.

Thanks again see you all soon love Amanda and Karen

Just returned from 7 nights at this wonderful hotel. From the minute you walk through the front door till the time you step back through it to leave, you are looked after by all the hotel staff to a very high standard. Anyone who finds fault with anything to do with this hotel needs to have their head examined.

During our stay, we were greeted with different animal towel art every time our room was made up. A lovely touch, which takes time for them to achieve. Thank you. rooms were kept spotless, plenty of bottled water and toiletries during our holiday.
Food was a very good standard, always piping hot, plenty of choice, live cooking stations with various choices. The Asian Ala Carte was very nice indeed. Easy to book via computer in reception foyer, just touch the screen and follow instructions. Food in Asian was wonderful, waiters very helpful and pleasant.
Pool staff work tirelessly in 35 degrees heat, always plenty of sunbeds and fresh towels, sunbed tip, if you don't want disturbed by salespersons just ask for a do not disturb sandbag to hang above your sun canopy. This will prevent you from being pestered whilst sunbathing and relaxing.
Drinks are plentiful, as much or as little as you choose. Pools are large, some heated some not, they are definitely refreshing after a spell in the sunshine. Weather was fab, in the 30's the whole week. Tip for the ladies, some of the floors in reception and bar areas are highly polished and can be slippery, so watch yourself if wearing heels, put some flats in to be safe, Tips for the gents, take long trousers, as you will not be allowed into the dining room of an evening for dinner in shorts. This will definitely be on our returns list for a winter break. Sorry to leave, but looking forward to returning next year. Final tip, take some form of mosquito repellent.

My husband & I stayed here for our honeymoon at the end of March 2013, our stay was perfect.

The staff were friendly, the accommodation was clean the attendant who looked after our room made the towel animals (which I loved) for us every day.

The food at the buffet was good and again the waiters were friendly and kept us topped up with water or anything else we asked for.
My only negative with the restaurants is that it was advertised as an adults restaurant and a family restaurant, yet they allowed children aged 13 & up into the adult restaurant. We would have personally preferred it to have been a 16 plus restaurant.

I would recommend this resort for couples, they have the Jaz Mirabel Park attached (which you can use all of their facilities, that would be better for families).

There were plenty of pools and sun loungers and plenty of bars around the pools, you also get cards to borrow beach towels saving a bit of luggage space.
The resort opened up onto the beach at the back, they had a beach bar handy if you need a drink. The only downside to the beach was that you needed to access the deeper water (for snorkeling) via the jetty which was still not finished. I believe from reading reviews it's been unfinished for quite some time.

We had a couple of massages, which in my opinion were average.

I would recommend booking any excursions once you arrive at the hotel - Thomson ripped us off advising that the excursions were cheaper if booked in the UK which turned out to be incorrect.
We did the star gazing in the desert excursion - I would highly recommend this as it was a fabulous experience.
We did quad biking again a good experience.

We loved our stay here at this hotel and would highly recommend it to other couples.

Just come back from a week at this hotel. The hotel was clean and well presented. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet restaurant was good overall but the odd night was a bit hit and miss. The a la carte restaurants were much better. The wine the hotel served was awful so I stuck to gin and tonic and they even had Schweppes! If you want a lazy week by the pool great but there is nothing outside of the hotel. We went for a walk down the road and felt quite vulnerable. The shop keepers crossed the road to speak to us and there were very few people around. There were so many derelict and empty buildings and hotels it was a bit of a ghost town. After that we didn't venture out on foot. The hotel taxi service was excellent.

If you're going though don't be fooled when the staff ask you if you can exchange 5 £1 coins for a £5 note, the coins are all fake! Do take small denominations of either sterling or euros for tips at the end of the holiday (£5 notes are good). We were nearly fooled and we saw other guests being conned. The majority of staff were great though and did deserve tips.

Wouldn't go again but that's because we like to be able to wander out of the hotel and it wasn't possible here.

I think it was a really good hotel.the service was not the best because you have to wait a while for your drinks at dinner. I recommend this hotel. Its next door to a beach and quite a few pools. The breakfast was really nice.
