You may have read the recent reviews about this hotel and are considering booking, if so, then ask yourself certain questions:
1. Are you doing this on a Budget, if so, you will get what you paid for and less, otherwise read on:
2. Remember you can always tell a poor hotel if you are dropped off first, then you don't see the better quality of others
3. So, do you want your first impressions to be of a tired and shabby hotel with dirty tables, faded plastic sofa covers, if so you will not be disappointed
4. Do you wish to be greeted by a strong smell of cats urine when walking to your bedroom, if so, then ask yourself is this the perfume you where imagining on a hot sultry nights in Egypt.
5. Would I like my holiday stay to be in a bedroom that is tired, shabby and has a lack of basic facilities such as inadequate towels which are of a poor washed out quality. As for the bedding, forget about white linen sheets, what you find is a thin grayish excuse and in the morning you wake up with red marks on your body and wonder what made these.
6. Do I want to eat in a Restaurant that lacks basic hygiene standards, especially where you see staff picking food up by their hands and enjoy a limited basic selection of food
7. Would you like the all inclusive drinks package, to conjure up the image of sipping a nice cold glass of your favourite tipple, relaxing at the bar, if so, you may be disappointed, The Gin is of poor quality served in a wine glass, the tonic has not been introduced into the hotel yet, so you will have to do with soda, if on the other hand you wish to go tea total for your stay and water is the answer, remember this is served by the glass, otherwise you have to pay for bottled water
8. So the above does not provide the rights answers, consider another hotel and save yourself disappointment and extra money in transferring to another hotel, as I did, which was due to the Holiday Rep who was able to recommend and arrange another hotel, allowing my family back home to have peace of mind and I would be back in one piece without any major health problems

It should be noted that my experience of this hotel comes from many years of being in the tourist industry, travelling the world, as an independent adviser and my observations and comments do not only reflect only my opinion but the views of other guests staying at the hotel who I spoke with

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and cannot believe some reviews we are reading. OK this is not a five star hotel with five star food but for the price you pay it is a nice hotel that could do with a bit of TLC here and there situated on a fantastic beach.
I don't know what people eat at home and expect but the fact is, unless you only live on burgers and chips you would struggle not to find something to eat. Breakfast was fine. Every day lunch and dinner there was Chicken, beef, fish, vegetables, salads, pasta cooked with your choice of ingredients, soup, fresh breads, cakes, fruit, need I go on?. Yes occasionally they ran low on plates and yes sometimes a dish could have been warmer but these were niggles rather than major problems. If you really cant do without burgers & chips or pizza you could pay for these as an extra at the pool bar. (inclusive pizza at the beach bar)
The staff were friendly and work really hard. Ashraf at the bar was most welcoming from the outset and was very helpful, an excellent barman.
Housekeeping was adequate, entertainment needs working on. The pool area was good and the beach was fantastic, plenty on sunbeds on both.
Give these people a chance. For all the problems this country is having this still is a great place to go all holiday. We would go back here again.

This is one nasty hotel think of faulty towers the first night we stayed here we had a smell of sewage coming up the bath we asked to change rooms and what a problem that was the staff at reception are so poorly run they seem to pass the problem on instead of dealing with it, i know people say u get what u pay for in that case this hotel should be free its shambles please people my and my partner are easily please just dont ruin ur family holiday and go to this place they call a hotel food is the same over and over always cold always running out of cups and plates, also all inclusive at this hotel is a joke apart for the dirty food in the main eating area u have to pay for everything else cocktails, burgers, indian restraunt so dont be fooled when booking with this place also there is no mini zoo and this make me laugh cause we had a map of the hotel and it had mini zoo and looked brill we asked the hotel reception what the mini zoo like and his reply they have not made it yet, i replied why add it to the map? We were booked in for two weeks at this awful hotel, first night being 6/3/14. We stayed one night and booked into another hotel the following morning. We have NEVER seen such a shambles as the dining area. It was depressing and the food was quite disgusting. The following morning we took a look around the hotel and the beach was terrible, stunk of faecal matter!! Our room in daylight was filthy and also smelt disgusting. We could not wait to find another hotel and re-visited Club Magic where we stayed two years ago and had a FANTASTIC holiday, if only we had booked this hotel in the first instance. The hotel looked as if it had been thrown together .
I cannot rate this place only as absolutely DISGUSTING.

Room Tip: I would STRONGLY advise NOT to book this hotel. As we were checking out, many people were joining i...

Cant understand why people give this hotel such a good review ive been around the world and this has to be one of the worst hotels ive been in. All the people who have loved this hotel im guessing they have never been anywhere else i booked this hotel months ago when arriving at hotel the greeting was brill nice drinks warm welcome then that lazy guy at reception happened, we waited for ages for a room he kept sending us to bar to get a drink after an hr of waiting i asked to speak to manager and next thing we know he's got us a room the room was very dirty but not really gonna harm on about that as not really bothered about petty dirt in room as we were only gonna be sleeping in it so we went for food and it was so cold so we scrapped that to go to the pizza bar but they had nothing there to cook complete joke so we decided to have a walk around complex and early night and try again only to find that there id no mini zoo and two men in the jungle pool grinding bottom ( the manager told us over email it would be ready ) while walking around the smell of sewage is unbelievable its a very dirty hotel and service is a joke, next day we had enough we went to reception and asked to transfer hotel he told me that he should not be helping me me and my partner just looked at each other so i sorted transfer from this hotel to the oriental rivoli and so glad only stayed at this hotel 1 night if u want plenty of Russians, poor food and like to be ignored by service at reception this is the hotel for you, and stay away from pizza bar the chef if so inexperienced

Would not recommend this place to my worst nightmare! Arrived at the hotel to a non alcoholic cocktail and a necklace thought that was a nice reception to then get told we had to wait and hour for our room. This is now 6pm and we booked this holiday 10months ago. After the hour we went back to find out about our room to then be told it was ready an hour ago! The restaurant opens at 7 we was in there at 7:10 and the food was freezing and not very good choice at all! We then decide to go to the pizza bar to pay for our food the service was hurrendouse, it was like the chef could not be bothered to cook, our burger and chips were bought over and well what do I say the burger was like chewing in rubber it was plain no sauce no salt and vinegar we asked for tees things to be told they don't have any! In a restaurant! We then walk down to the beach and the sprinklers are on and oh my days the smell was disgusting like sewage smell! The jungle pool was not finished even tho we got told before we went out that it would be finished. And there were also men grinding in the pool. There is no lighting at all walking around at night time so you can't see where you are walking. We walk around abit more to be met with this massive Rottweiler dog jumping at a nearly broken down fence barking like mad scared the living daylights out of us. We decided enough was enough we went to reception to sort out a transfer asked to speak with the manager and they sent us a Russian woman who didn't seem to have a clue what she was doing! We couldn't get a transfer as it was to late by this time so we decided to give it a night and see how we felt in the morning. Cut a long story short finally the next morning we made it out of that hell hole

Just back from a week at Hauza and I was quietly surprised after reading all the reviews befor I went.

So the Pros and Challenges:

Reception

Pro: Simple but effective ( Had one issue, dealt with within ten minutes and I had three people come and tell me it was resolved)

Challenges: Beware that if you depart home after 12 noon, you will have to pay for the food and drink you consume until you leave. Option to make late check out resolves this.

Will require increasing in size once capacity increases.

Swimming Pool Area

Pro: Sun Beds and Cushions, Size of pool and Music (If over 50 this might get on your nerves), service at Pool Bar. (Tip: take your own plastic pint pots, I took them and had them filled everytime no issue)

Challenges: If the sun is not up early, the pool takes 3 hours to warm up (unless you can take a brrrrrr plunge tank), The pool cocktail bar is expensive and they currently have no special offers such as 'Happy Hour'.

The commission only sales reps selling all services have to sell to live, so be prepared to have a day or two being sold too (tip take a polite laminant saying 'Please do not disturb, please comeback later (this in English and Arabic (Babelfish))', they will leave you alone, but will find you at some point. Again they have to sell to live, so once you understand this, be polite and clear and negotiate hard - you will do well.

Rooms:

Pros: Spacious, Cleaning team - Fresh sheets every three days and fresh towels daily (being polite and respecting the cleaner helps (one minute saying thank you doesn't cost anything).

Challenges: More Days Inn than Premier Inn and defo not Hilton (See headline).

Main Self Service Restaurant:

Pros: Service (Samba was excellent waiter, again I showed him respect and he showed me his), Omelette Bar at Breakfast (even will fry you three eggs), Fresh Bread from Bread Centre (yummy!), Pasta Bar at lunch and Tea (Excellent, you control the spice so be careful). If you like cake you are in heaven, if you live basic salad also.

Challenges: Food very repetitive and poor (Italian Chefs so very surprised), their themed night are poorly signed so you don't know what what! The Manager is a status individual not a man manager, requires training (not sure how he would cope when capacity high.

Beach:

Pros: Excellent to chill, good scuba, good bar and good pizza bar.

Challenges: None.

Nationalities:

Pros: Egyptians - you give what you get, respect them they respect you, don't and don't expect them to respect you.

Challenges: Eastern Block (Russian, Ukraine and Serbians), their history means they appear rude, direct and abrupt (Brits abroad in Spain during the 80's). One slapped a barman and said that he was just a slave so do your job!

Taxis:

Pros: None

Challenges: Rude and will take the shirt off your back if they could.

Tip: As a fair and reasonable guide you should pay approx three Egyptian pounds to Maama Bay and five back, some people were being charged seventeen. They try to take you to the old market to earn extra cash (dont go very very very poor).

Naama Bay:

Pros: Excellent

Challenges: The constant selling, but just ignore them on the street.

Finally, I was offered 300 Million camels for my girlfriend, I shall pick here back up in the summer (ha ha ha).

All seriousness, don't expect luxury when you don't pay for it, with a few tweaks this place will rise to four star, would I go back - if the food changed then 100% yes, if not 100% no.
