“Blissful!!”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

First of all let me thank the entire Radisson SES crew for making my stay absolutely awesome in the hotel. I had a lot of plans about going around in Sharm but once I entered Radisson, I realized I really don't need to venture out for anything! They have Italian, Lebanese, sea food restaurants, a terrific Spa, gym, indoor Jacuzzi, volleyball matches on the beach, early morning yoga, 2 beautiful swimming pools and steps that lead directly on to the beach with abundance of beach beds! What else do you need?

The first night I stayed there, they had an Arabian Nights event with a buffet dinner, belly dancing and traditional dances....completely captivating. Okay so the food is not great but I never went with an expectation that it would be so I was fine. My room (2206) faced the sun and mornings were a pleasure in the balcony.

The staff is super friendly and go that extra mile in interacting with the guests. You are left alone most of the time however they ensure you don't miss out on the different activities planned which is so amazing. Let me say this clearly- As a solo female traveler, I felt absolutely safe and would definitely recommend this to my friends. Cheers!!

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Radisson blu. We had never been to Egypt before and were a little nervous due to reported incidents of unrest in Egypt. However, after staying at this resort and venturing out, we can say we felt safe and totally at ease and will definitely be returning! We wanted a relaxing break and this hotel far surpassed our expectations! Weather was gorgeous 80+ degrees daily, the pool boys were great and put towels out for us each day thank you Ahmed and Moustafa. There was a great variety of food each day with different themes and there were 3 other restaurants for a small charge. We ate in the Italian and the service and food was fabulous! The sea was lovely and had a snorkelling school and the spa was superb, we tried to find fault with this hotel and couldn't!! Staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble! Thoroughly enjoyable stay thank u all x

Before I lurch into my review of the Radisson Blu it would be wise to ask the reader what they want from this resort.

If you want a high quality of service, clean well laid out rooms, a good beach with excellent snorkelling, excellent pools, good gardens, polite staff and a variety of restaurants then this is the best of three resorts we have stayed at to date.

The Egyptians are proud polite people who want nothing more than to ensure you have a good time and their hotel gets a good review.

So far so good… However, yes I‘m afraid there is one! The food in the main restaurant was not good during the first two days of our visit, so much so that we requested a meeting with Mohammed the Food & Refreshments Manager. From this moment on every member of staff in the Main Restaurant was interested in one thing - "Is everything okay?".

As the rest of you know the English don’t complain, but I’m afraid that when I pay a lot of money to stay “All Inclusive” at a hotel like the Radisson Blu I expect far better when it comes to the food.

With regard to the Main Restaurant the problems were twofold, a shortage of meat leading to very small servings and a lack of dairy products, meaning that desserts were far too sweet.

Either the hotel is on a shoestring budget and is providing the very minimum or the food is just poor.

Examples: My wife had veal and was served up a couple of pieces of fat and no meat at all. I had cheesecake which was basically sponge with something on the top which was not cream cheese.

We went to the Beach cafe (The Crows Nest) for lunch and there were two options hot dog and fries or fish and fries, my hot dog consisted of a roll, no butter, a sausage cut in half lengthways, no onions, no relish, and fries, My wife had two pieces of fish the size of a 50p coin and a huge plate of fries.

So much wasted potential at the beach cafe!

We had a Tuna Roll at the Pool Bar one lunch time, one problem - no tuna.

At Breakfast, if like me you enjoy Corn Flakes or Weetabix or Shredded Wheat, the cereals provided may go by these names but they taste nothing like what we buy in the UK. They are a poor substitute and I ate toast instead.

The restaurants are - The main restaurant included in AI, an Italian restaurant, a pool side snack bar and a beach restaurant. The best meals we had were in the Italian restaurant and at the beach restaurant. Of these the beach restaurant (Trade Winds) was the best. But we had to pay extra for these and they do not come under the “All Inclusive” deal.

The main problems for us were as follows –

Breakfast - They need to start importing English Cereals.

Lunch – We find that most English couples on holiday are like us, they just want a snack at lunch time. A tuna and mayonnaise roll would be fine if there was some tuna in it, a cheese and pickle roll, a ham and cheese roll, a chicken anbd mayo roll, fresh fruit, yoghurts etc. and all available at the beach or pool café's. Instead there was a full on meal only available at the Main Restaurant, and we didn’t want it or need it.

Evening Meal - The Main Restaurant needs to cater for the English more. The meals seemed to be designed to cater for the Russians (of whom there were many), but there was very little for the English.

I CAME HERE TO RELAX!!!! In addition we went here for rest and relaxation and were subjected all day by thundering music from both ends of the beach and in the evening by the noise from the entertainment area.

Although the evening the group of people were juggling with fire was very skilful and entertaining.

To sum up a very nice hotel, perfectly situated which if all of the above were addressed we would visit again.

I've just returned from a brilliant week at Radisson Blu where the friendly, no hassle staff really made our holiday. the staff in the restaurant were exceptional especially El Hussiny, May and Ali who looked after us so well.
the food is good, with a great selection and the beer and wine really drinkable compared to some all inclusive.
The pier to the beach is great - you can see loads of colourful fish- and even an octopus!
we would definately go back and highly recommend!
thanks to you all for a great holiday.

The room (7187) was very comfortable and clean, right on the beach. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the staff works hard to make your stay as good as possible. The snorkelling was impressive with 1000s of beautiful fish.
Thanks to Karim for keeping the room very well.
What let the place down was
1. Catering: 5 star resort ??? The hotel offers 6 restaurants??? Not true. There was one "restaurant" the rest was closed (low season?) and shame on radisson for labelling this motorway cafeteria with less than basic food with 5 stars. The staff did a fantastic job making the most of the shoestring budget they were given so lots of creativity with carving the carrots but this is our first all inclusive holiday where we actually lost weight....
Thanks to Ahmed Atef, Gamal Ibrahim and Marwa for looking well after us at meal times.
2. Drinks. The local brews were unsuitable to our taste - tasted mostly like petrol - but seemed to go down well with the many Russians in the resort. Only the beer was ok.
3. Boom boom boom. The beach in front of our room as well as our expensive valentines meal were dominated by 18 year old DJ's with super sized speakers set at distortion level. We may ask for compensation for subsequent loss of hearing :-)
Over all a good experience though but we would not come back.

Very comfortable hotel , lovely grounds , right on the beach with a boardwalk to the reef. We had a week (7-14 Feb ) We had a marine room on the beach 7182, a lovely room, very clean and comfortable. We had most our meals in the main restaurant, the food was good, plenty of choice, the chefs were out every day and were genuinely looking for feedback I would like to thank Khaled the chef for preparing some lovely food. The staff in the restaurant were brilliant, Ahmed ,Matwa, El Hussain couldn't do enough for us, thanks to the handsome chef that cooked my eggs each morning sorry I didn't catch your name. The staff made the holiday from Fathy the bar man to Karim , the young man in housekeeping that created some wonderful towel art as well as looking after us so well. The animation team worked hard and the bar man in the pool bar who was good with brain teasers. We saw lots of different spices of fish snorkelling off the jetty it was an experience that will stay with us forever. If you have a massage ask for Sylvia she was very good. We had a great holiday, made all the better from the excellent service we had from the staff, a big thank you to you all x

This is a lovely hotel. Ideally situated right on the beach overlooking beautiful gardens with a water feature babbling it's way through the resort. All of the public areas are spotless as are the rooms. The biggest asset to this hotel is it's staff. They will endeavour to please and strive to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one. On arrival the reception staff were quick and attentive and arranged a buggy for us and our bags - no lengthy hanging around. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful especially as we have two small children. A big thank you to Osama! He waited on us at Olivos, in the Italian on the Arabian themed night and also room service - our girls loved him and he's a real star! Waleed and Alaa were great at the pool bar and soooooo entertaining! The food was fine. Something for everyone and all tastes catered for. The alcoholic beverages were rather hit and miss as was the wine. We discovered the rose to be the most palatable to our surprise. As there were four of us we stayed in a suite - a 2 bed roomed, luxurious, spacious accommodation - more like a flat with an extensive balcony overlooking the sea and mountains. Stunning. The spa is great and the treatments superb. The only downside would be that the pools are cold but that is being picky as I really cannot fault this place! Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks of relaxation and attention - a marvellous time was had by all.
