We stayed here (1st time in eygpt) really concerned about getting the sharm el squits lol, we needed hav been concerned, the hotel was fabulous, room excellent, food and drink very nice, toiletries in bathroom, fresh towels and maid service daily, 2 litres of bottled water in room every day. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, don't forget ta ask for a cup of milk for your brew, mini bar inside fridge but not needed as the drinks etc where available all the time. Nothing was any trouble for the staff very friendly, if possible ask for a poolside room on the sunny side when bookin in. Haggle with " mr bean" in the bag shop inside the hotel he is soo funny. We didn't realise we had capital fm radio on the tv till our last day, use the towel cards every day 2 get clean pool towels. All the pool areas were excellent, something for everyone, we are booked up already for October, really enjoyable holiday, oh and ya needn't worry about the orange juice for kids it's all made with bottled water and its propa 7 up and Pepsi out of bottles, we were a couple with a 7 yr old boy, hope this is of some help 2 travellers thinking of this hotel

Room Tip: As a mentioned above we had a poolside room on the sunny side as some of the hotel was shaded part o...

We returned on Wednesday from 14 nights at Coral Sea Splash, and loved every minute of our time there.
The hotel is spacious and modern (though free wifi would modernise it further - £1.50 for 15 mins is a little steep), the facilities are excellent, and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Contrary to other reports here, we found the food to be good: it's an all inclusive resort, I wasn't expecting cordon bleu! Breakfast includes an egg station (manned by one of the few staff who needs to learn some basic customer service skills) where you can choose from omelette, fried or scrambled, a seperate station for pancakes. A range of hot foods (a fry up with an Islamic non-pork twist), pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt. Lunch and dinner are both buffet too - with dinner rotating cuisine each night - BBQ night is good - they do an awesome kofta. There are two al a carte restaurants - you get a voucher to use each one once a week. They're OK, but if you don't use your token I wouldn't lose sleep.
As you'd expect with all inclusive, you've beer an wine and local spirit on tap whenever you want. It's a family resort though - I didn't see any drunken behaviour in all my time there. The waiting staff are brilliant, especially Nabil and Ramy, who couldn't do enough for you. Contrary to what you're led to believe, this isn't just for tips.
The rooms are spacious and clean. The towel creations we got on severals occasions (including Roses, crocodiles, snakes and swans) are a lovely touch.
The whole family loved the slides - the boomerang and the surf simulator add a unique element from similar parks and the wave pool was a brilliant place to be able to let the kids splash around in a safe environment.
The main pool was spacious, and, contrary to other reports, we found the temperatures to be fine in all the communal pools (we did have a swim up pool, which was freezing cold, but I reckon would be fine in high season).
I reserve my highest praise though, for the five stars entertainment team. Kemo, Bob, Cheryl, Luke, Narissa, Rachael, and Caroline are the lifeblood of this hotel. You'll get pulled into the games of volleyball and water polo, do Water aerobics, and Gangnamstile your way round the pool. The kids club and mini disco are loved by all the children. These guys work hard, seemingly on no budget, for 12 hours a day. It's all a bit Butlins, but it's a family holiday and there's no pressure if you don't want to join in, though you might get a bit of a ribbing. Apparently, Thomsons are considering replacing the team in May, as part of a rebrand/refresh. Message to Thomson: the Five Star team are the number one reason this hotel is number 1 in Nabq. If you replace them and try and professionalise and homogenise this hotel in line with other faceless entertainment teams you'll lose everything that took it to the top in the first place.
We'll be back for definite.

Room Tip: Swim up rooms are worth the extra whether you use the swim up pool or not.

Me and my wife (mature couple) went to the Coral Sea Splash Resort during half term and we really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and the Animation Team were brilliant they had time for everybody. The rooms were very spacious, towels changed every day and the TV even had 9 Sports Channels if you wanted to watch it with English commentary. The food was a bit repetitive, but we managed to find something we liked. We are not really burger and chips people. The entertainment was not brilliant, more entertainment aimed at adults, but the kids disco was very good, liked the train song at the end each night. About 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Transfer was about 15 minutes. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe, left out of the hotel and its on the other side of the road, made a change, drinks a lot better and not too bad price wise. We went on a trip to Soho Square (15 minutes) were there were proper shops and you didnt get hassled, we went into the Ice Bar, great experience although drinks were a bit expensive 120 Egyptian pounds each. I would definitely go back

Room Tip: We had a room on the upper floor. Nice and quiet. With a bar close by and the barman even brought ou...

Having been slightly skeptical of going to Egypt, cannot believe what we found upon arriving at the Coral Sea!!!
Amazing holiday, absolutely nothing to much bother for any of the staff. Happy smiling faces from dawn to dusk.
Food: Ate something different every night, really enjoyed the American restaurant, Asian not as good, everything seemed to have an underlining taste of 'ginger'. In main restaurant there was a theme every night. Pancakes for breakfast went down the best...
Rooms: We had a swim up room, which was fantastic, really made use when my son got sun burn and spent a day in bed, (massive bed, brand new, yummy) which was fine as there are constant films in English. Cleaned to a very high standard, with fresh water in the rooms daily.
Spa: Wanted a massage, but didn't want to pay the prices, so left. Next day got one for half the price, so you can haggle....went back for a second one it was that good!! There is also a decent gym and beauty salon there.
Entertainment Team: They do work and really make an effort, will ask if you want to join in, but don't nag you....Mr and Mrs Game, highly amusing to watch, had me in stiches.
Location: Brilliant, you can walk out of the hotel, Mc Donald's, Hard Rock Cafe and TGI Fridays all within a couple of mins walk. Chemist adjacent as well as various shops and supermarkets.
Pools and Slides: Will cater for all ages, main pool variety of activities for young and old, with a further wave pool and 2 more with children slides in them. Flow rider, see more adults using it than children which was fun!!! Plenty of life guards.... Normal thing with regards to towels on sun beds, either get up at the crack of dawn, or pay the pool boys to reserve for you. Although on saying that there are enough beds to go round.
Smallest of the Coral Seas in Sharm, with only 450-500 guests max, never did it feel crowded, nor did you have to wait for anything. Didn't even queue for the slides.
An absolutely fantastic experience, would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, completely chilled out holiday with bits to do.

Room Tip: Request swim up room numbers between 2111-2120 in winter as these get the sun on them.

My wife, our 2 young daughters and I stayed in the coral sea splash resort in Nabq bay during the feb half term and it was a fantastic holiday!
The location first of all is very good as ( like most hotels in sharm admittedly) the hotel is situated only 15 mins from the airport, so no long drawn out coach journey. When we got to the resort we were quickly shown to our rooms by a member of staff who gave us a quick tour of where the main areas of the hotel are ie restaurants, lifts different pools etc while on our way to the room. Nice personal and friendly touch!

The room which we booked was a family room and it was perfect. My main worry when going anywhere abroad is cleanliness of the room but I needn't have worried as it was fantastic, cleaned every day as you'd expect but done properly! I'm afraid I never knew our cleaners name but he done towel animals every day and they were brilliant, our young daughters would look forward to seeing what he had done.

The facilities were very good at coral sea splash and the all inclusive is just that! Eat drink and be very merry ( proper cocktails).

The location is ideal as well as you are 5 mins walk from the beach and plenty of local shops within 2 mins of the lobby. They've just finished a new Hard Rock Cafe across the road and you also maccy d's, TGI's and KFC all within about 3 mins (honestly) should you fancy that! The hotels food is good, plenty of options every day and you get to eat at 2 a'la carte restaurants while your there (American and Chinese, both very good it must be said).

Now, the holiday was very good but the hotel staff and animation team made it one of the best!!! From the first to the last moment the hotel staff were waiting on you hand and foot, constantly happy and so good with kids, this is the best family hotel we've ever been to. The animation team were first class also, before we went we had read a lot about them on trip advisor and they lived up to their billing! In fact even more so, any spare minutes they had were spent walking around the pools making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, the human touch cannot be overestimated! Special mention to Larissa in the kids club, thanks to her our holiday (for a few hours at least) was a bit more quiet and relaxed.

In summary, lovely clean hotel and rooms, friendly staff and good location, couldn't have been better! Oh, weather was late 20s to early 30s so it was just right! Make your way here, you won't be dissatisfied!

I stayed at the Coral Sea Splash in half term week with my two children aged 7 and 9. I had read the reviews on Tripadvisor before booking and the hotel far exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Our room was fantastic, there was a huge king size bed and then 2 small sofas/beds by the balcony, this area had sliding doors if necessary to provide privacy. The room was spotlessly clean and of a really high standard. It was cleaned daily and it was exciting coming back in the evening to see what towel art awaited us...I have never seen anything like it!
I was a little concerned before we left that it would be too big and that it would feel like we were staying at a theme park but I needn't have worried. The hotel feels fairly small and even though it was full to capacity there were no queues and didn't have trouble getting into the dining rooms when we wanted to. There was so much to do for children of all ages from small toddlers to teenagers and the waterpark side of things were fantastic. You could also find lots of little areas to relax so I think if you needed child free time this could be found. The outside areas, the communal toilets and the food areas were all very clean and well run. The pool side toilets were cleaned throughout the day and always smelled of disinfectant which was reasuring when staying with children.
The food was really good with alot of choice but as with all inclusive hotels this can get a bit repetative, we also ate in the al a carte restaraunts which were really good. The children's entertainment and the kids club were great and were really well run too. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this hotel, we really did have a fantastic stay and will be booking again next year for sure.

Room Tip: We stayed in 4316 which got the sun first thing in the morning but talking to other guests block 5 i...

If you have a child aged between 2years and 10 years great any other children forget it. 2 great pools for children although they were not heated and were freezing 1 heated pool that was far to deep for non swimmers and for people like me getting on a bit and find it difficult to bend down to climb in the water. Food left a lot to be desired breakfast and lunch were identical everyday and dinner not much better just bunged in big metal containers. If you like chips and pizza you will love it. Entertainment was non existent a kids disco for 30 mins every night that did exactly the same things every night and the odd show that lasted for an hour at the most was awful. There are only 2 bars on site open in the evening and the drinks were nothing to write home about. However the staff made my holiday they were excellent with the children. Really friendly and helpful especially a barman named Nabil he was wonderful. The weather was fantastic the room was large but basic.

Room Tip: Wouldn't go for swim up room water was freezing
