We have just returned from the Rixos having spent a wonderful week in a truly luxurious hotel. Food, service, entertainment and weather contributed to one of the best holidays we have had. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The pools were beautiful and the children spent most of their time in them. Although there were several restaurants we dined each night in the buffet as there were so many choices of world cuisine and the children loved choosing and returning for second courses. I would highly recommend this hotel and we are hoping to return again next year.

Room Tip: We were in block 4000 which was close enough to the pools and far enough away from the night enterta...

We have just returned after two weeks at The Rixos. It is our second visit and we were not disappointed that we chose to return. The standard offered by the Hotel is first class in every respect. The food is of the highest quality and so much choice whether it is the buffet restaurants or the a la carte. The staff are amazing they can't do enough for you. A number of the waiters remembered us from our previous visit and were so pleased to see us again. In particular Mohmoud who worked in the Italian was just incredible. We have travelled extensively around the world but I have to say the service at The Rixos is the best we have ever experienced. Tourism is down in Egypt due to the problems in Cairo and the media coverage. Please do not be put off visiting Sharm it is totally safe and the Egyptian people really need tourists to return. We will certainly return.

Returned back from The Rixos 15th March and cannot fault it, the rooms are large and clean, the food is good in the 2 buffet restaurants and excellent in the a la carte restaurants loved the Italian and Egyptian, can recommend lunch at the fish restaurant, cheese burger lovely, oh and try the huge wedges.
The staff cant do enough for you, but don't forget they will expect something back. be careful of the young guy who offers to clingfilm your case for you on your return journey , even after a good tip he still demanded more money, after my husband told him to remove the cling film he quickly backed down.
Found cigarette prices in the shop in the old reception are cheaper than in the shop near the new reception
.
If you don't want to be pestered with reps trying to sell spas and trips make sure you get a red flag that you hang from sun umbrella it really does work.

We really had an amazing time and met some truly lovely people , We look forward to returning in the near future.

Just returned from Rixos and it is everything you could want from a an excellent well run hotel. With 5 international restaurants, Italian, Eygptian, Chinese, Sushi & Seafood, plus 2 buffets all serving excellent food. Our favourites were Italian & Eygptian, their lamb cutlets are to die for. The staff are so helpful and bend over backwards to make sure your holiday is perfect, rooms are well equipped, large and tastefully decorated, clean where we got a good nights sleep. No need to worry about finding a sunbed as there were so many to choice from on both the beach and round the pools.
Our only disappointment was the snorkelling as we have visited Eygpt many times in the Winter just for the sun & snorkelling, you have to walk down a jetty around 100yards, enter the water to find plenty of fish BUT you are confronted with a 30 / 40 foot drop from the shallow coral under the jetty to see the fish. Although there were many to be seen theer were too many quite a way down in the sea not close enough to see clearly. Having said that the water is so clear is was still a pleasure to swim.

Room Tip: You can book restaurants 3 days in advance on a dedicated terminal which makes eating a pleasure and...

Just returned after a fantastic week at The Rixos.
We were amazed at the sheer size of the hotel, which is absolutely huge. After getting lost the first night, we took advantage of the shuttle buggy which drives around every 20 mins or so. The drivers were happy picking up and dropping off wherever we wanted to go.
We had a deluxe room which was huge, light and airy, with king size bed and bed settee, loads of storage and the bathroom was massive. The balcony overlooked the Oasis pool which could be noisy during the day, but perfect in the evenings as the entertainment took place by the Lagoon Pool. There were also several other pools dotted around the immaculately presented gardens, so no shortage of different locations to soak up the sun.
There was such a wonderful choice of food whether in a pool snack bar, buffet restaurant or any of the a la cartes. We tried the Asian, Egyptian, Seafood all of which served delicious beautifully presented food.
Now onto the staff! Every single member of staff - GR girls, animation team, waiters, bars, pool, buggy drivers, housekeeping, reception - I could go on forever - are just brilliant and contributed to our thorough enjoyment of the week we were there. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and nothing too much trouble with a special mention to the boys in the Beach and Piano Bars. The entire staff are a credit to The Rixos management.
Thank you for a delightful week and we have already started planning our next stay.

We flew out on the 31st of march for one week and decided to go somewhere a little more upper class to previous years where we had stayed at the holiday village, coral sea and others. Oh boy it was worth it the service was first class along with branded drinks for example baileys sprite coca cola, the service was even better in the week we visited as the hotel was only at %29 capacity due to some 13 countries not allowing flights to sharm which is ridiculous. We felt extremely safe in the hotel and problems or query at the reception were delt with. We loved the shuttle going up and down the hotel it is a bit of a novelty and you feel like you are being treated like a king! Pools and general cleanliness were superb we thought there were more workers than guests!!! We did not use any of the a'la carte restaurants as the main restaurant had a great variety of food of a very high standard for example fresh pizza very good quality cut lamb to salads and stir fry's you couldn't fault it! Overall i will visit the Rixos again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting that extra something special.

Room Tip: Stay away from the entertainment theater if you go to bed early it can be quite noisy.

We booked a stay here for March having had a great time in Egypt last year at around the same time of year.

The hotel is set over a vast expanse of beautiful pool areas and gardens, slowly meandering down to the beach. The main heated pool has its own swim up pool bar and is where all the activities are centred around - not our cup of tea at all, sunbeds like sardines in a can and loud music blaring out for most of the day, but then there are people who prefer this and that's their choice. There is a pool area nearby with waterslides - a great addition and good fun for all.

The next large pool are also had a swim up pool bar and the seating was far less formal and not regimented. There was an outdoor Jacuzzi here and quiet areas to sit. There was a further quiet pool set in the grounds and then a pool near the main family dining room and spa, we chose to sit at this pool as it was handy for the beach and beach bar as well as near our room. I must say that the water was extremely cold - I did manage to swim, but not for long sadly. The lifeguard Mohamed was a great character and worked hard.

The beach was a 15 second stroll away and had lovely beds, parasols and wind brakes provided by the hotel. There was a pier to stroll down so if you wanted to dive or swim in the sea you were able to do so. There were some amazing fish swimming around, not that I saw them form in the water. The sand was nice, not gritty and stoney and it was lovely walking along the sea front. There was a lovely beach bar had many a JD and coke in our week from here....

The rooms at the hotel were extremely spacious and spotlessly clean, we were very impressed.

Meals at the hotel were served as buffet mostly with one buffet restaurant that was adult only.....great bonus for those without children and then the main family restaurant - I felt that the food choice and service was far better at the family restaurant so we ate there each morning.

Lunch was served at the buffet restaurants and the 'fish' restaurant down near the beach - the lunch was lovely here consisting of steak sandwiches, pizzas etc.

Evening meals were served at either of the buffets or an a la carte restaurant - there are 6 a la carte restaurants to choose from, I will say that the standard of food in our opinion was excellent the only 'let down' was the speed that they wanted to serve you - so fast - apparently it's what the Russian guests like, well we don't....so slow down.

The evening entertainment was always worth going to see and the entertainment team -- in particular Adam and Sam were great fun - thanks for making us laugh.

All in all we couldn't and wouldn't fault the hotel and all the staff and will definitely go back, thanks for an amazing week, shame about the thunderstorms though!!
