“Happy honeymoon!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

We had a fantastic honeymoon on a pretty tight budget here. The lobby is very impressive and immaculate, in fact the whole place is very well maintained. Got an upgraded room on arrival which was massive and really nice. Was kept clean and we had some very entertaining towel art some days!

The pool bar at the bottom of the resort was a little rowdy for us with water games and music going on all day, but there are plenty of other pools which were lovely and quiet. The grounds are beautifully kept and the pools are constantly being cleaned. Staff were fantastic particularly Mustafa and Waled at the lake bar.

Evening entertainment not brilliant but I don't think this is specifically a failing in this hotel, just standard for Sharm. We walked down to Jive sports bar nearby one night as there was champions league football on that hubby wanted to watch and had a great night there so it's worth the 10 minute walk if your bored of the hotel entertainment.

Food seems to be the main complaint from most people and to be fair it's the main restaurant is not amazing but there was always something I could eat and the oriental and Italian a la carte restaurants were very nice. The only time we got sick was after eating the burgers from the beach bar so probably best avoided! I personally loved the Fontana corner with fresh cotton candy and popcorn on offer, brought out my inner child.

We didn't especially enjoy our trip to Naama bay, found the traders very pushy and a little intimidating. (Obviously that's no reflection on the hotel just an observation), however the arranged excursions were great, definitely take the opportunity to snorkel or dive around Ras Mohamed if your in Sharm it is breathtaking.

Travelling through Sharm on trips I think it's obvious that Nabq bay where the Rehana is located is the newest part of the resort and I would definitely stick to this area if I came back.

All in all I would say this is a great value hotel and yes I would stay here again.

Just came back from the rehana royal beach .the hotel is the best I have been to location 5 star service . the bar staff in the food court the the best if you treat them with a please and a thank you not like the Russian pigs so rude .90% of the staff were so helpful . we stayed in block 3 with a view to die for the pool and sea view step out of room in to your pool the food was not the best breakfast was much better than the evening meals but you could pick out what you wanted . if you got fed up of the food go down to the English pub and called the union jack man that's the best food out there and a good price .back to the hotel for children it was good and safe my only complaint was they did not cater for the British 90 % of the food was for the Russian s oh I got to say the pool bar is the worst in the world always runs out of beer and glasses

I visted this hotel mid September 2013 with my boyfriend and another couple. I would highly recommend this hotel, ignore the bad reviews.
Hotel, pools and room all very impressive.

Yes the food isn't amazing, but what all inclusive hotel ever is. They cook fresh eggs/omelettes/pancakes etc in the morning, you have a choice of the main restaurant, the beach snack bar, and a further 5 snack bars for lunch and the main restaurant and 6 a la carte restaurants for dinner. The main buffet isnt all that impressive as it is mostly catered for the Russian, but we visited the 4 a la carte restaurants included in AI and cannot recommend them enough, the asian was to die for!

Soho Square is only a walk away, we ventured out many nights, with a british sports bar just down the road and a bit further down, you have hard rock cafe, tgi fridays and lots more.

Animation team try so hard to make your holiday the best it can be.

We had an amazing week, and was sad to be coming home. We are already looking to go back next year. Don't hesitate!

Very nice accommodation and nice big room, the beds were very comfortable too. The pools and area are very pretty and well cared for. The animation team were always around and chatty. There were many ignorant, arrogant rude Russians who are very irritating. Also the wine was awful and the service was quite bad. Found the taxi drivers out of Nama bay were very nasty and perverted and I will not be travelling to Egypt again due to them. All together a fab holiday and I liked the beach area with the jetty area.

Before I start i think we need to
Make 1 thing clear to the majority of people who moan about food in Egypt.

Sharm was a resort built 15yrs ago and was originally designed for the Russian and East block of Europe. 90% of sharms tourism and $$$ come from the Russians - and us Brits are the minority. This isn't a tacky Tenerife - it's a very warm,
Pretty resort which the Russians got to before us.

Rant over - hotel has great facilities, staff friendly and love conversation.

Food is fine if you understand the first part of this review. You NEVER go hungry - if you do then go to costa del cheap for a Greasy fry up.

The a la carte restaurant food is very good - all fresh!

Drinks could be better, but again you get what you pay for. Simple as that.

If you think you can stay 5* for less than £500 each a week, then your in La La land.

Good, relaxing,
Friendly holiday.

Where do I start!

On arrival the hotel was good, staff are very helpful and we got a free upgrade to a prestige room, although I now think about it this was because they tried to keep everyone down the bottom of the hotel so they could close off the top part due to not many people travelling to Egypt at the moment.

The room was nice, not the best I've stayed in but for what we paid it was good. The room was clean but it’s starting to look a little tired e.g. shower getting a little rusty. They cleaned the room everyday but they don't change your bed sheets, which personally I think is pretty horrible as it’s so hot out there and you sweat quite a bit but the best bit is the beds are huge and comfy, I slept very well.

The complex itself is alright, the pools are good they get cleaned regularly but I wouldn’t give it a 5 star rating. The one thing I really noticed was that they keep the gardens looking great.

Now this is where is gets bad... the food was just awful, by the end of the week I couldn’t face walking into the restaurant because the smell made me feel sick mostly because the food had made me sick the second day in. If you're British do not eat the food, they do not cater for us, they cater for Russian and Polish people. We ended up going out most nights (Soho square and Nabq bay) and I didn’t eat much breakfast and hardly any lunch, I lost so much weight from being ill and not eating. Also this includes all the restaurants on the resort..... all awful food.

If you're British and like me and you go on holiday for peace and quiet do not go and sunbath by the pools at the bottom near the sea, you get hassled by men selling you excursion, they drive you mental. We were approached 5 times in the first 10minutes of us being there and also the music they play is SO LOUD you can't think, talk or read! I advise to go and lie at the top pool; this is where you'll find most of the British people!

Overall the holiday was alright but I wasn't too impressed and wouldn't return. Lie at the top pool, don't eat the food and go to Soho square.

Room Tip: Lie at the top pool, don't eat the food and go to Soho square. Get an upgrade, room by the sea.

On arrival to our resort we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded (We were due to stay at Rehana Sharm) due to the lack of tourists. On arrival after checking in we were asked to take a seat in reception & were served colourful cocktails. We was then taken to our room by a buggy. On entering our room we were amazed by the size & well as for the view it was beautiful. We also paid for two weeks use of wifi, the first few days the wifi was intermittent but by day four it was finally sorted out, the reception staff even gave us mobile broadband to help us out whilst the problem was being sorted. The location of our room was fantastic opposite the food courts & a short stroll to the main pool. There are so many pools to choose from. The pool bar was brill, loved the fact that you could be in the pool & have a drink at the same time, the bar staff were brill if you get a chance try a strawberry bon bon. As for the closeness of the beach you only had to walk a few yards, there is a food bar on the beach & they freshly cook burgers & chips at lunchtime. The animation team were great too lots of activities to do. Now to the food. We found that the majority of the food was mainly catered for the Russians, polish etc not much for us brits but on a good note if you wanted fresh eggs, omelettes & pitta style bread the catering staff would make them fresh for you. The A La Carte restaurants were amazing (you have to book those with reception) you could choose from Italian, Asian & Oriental. We booked our trips through our rep Ozzy MTS Travel. We even made friends with the guys who worked for the resort taxi service. We can finally now say that we have found our ideal holiday destination & cannot wait for next year (We are hoping to go back 3 times).

Room Tip: If you can ask for block 2, its near the food courts, main pool & beach.
