This is a beautiful old hotel, but also has a brand new building at the backside with modern rooms. We have stayed there and the room was large, clean with good beds. Lovely bathroom but unfortunately the jet of the shower was really miserable. A pity and not fitting to the rest. Nice breakfast with eggs any style.

We were allocated a room for disabled people for some odd reason but we didn’t mind as it was very spacious.
The bed was comfortable and the bed linen crisp and clean. We had a lovely area outside our room with comfortable sitting area.
It was nice to have fruit and chocolate in the room. The hotel had a lovely Spanish ambience with modern comfortable rooms.
The bathroom was large but unfortunately the shower water was not very hot.
We were woken up by loud chanting and noises at 3.30am.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was limited but staff were willing to make delicious omlettes.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here on 20th December 2018, first impressions were of a lovely courtyard and quaint hotel. Our room was on the small side with us having to climb over our two bags, but still nice. We were on a tour of Ecuador and only staying one night and were very tired, so we retired to bed around 7.30pm.

Unfortunately we were unable to rest and watch the TV as there were three parites started up, as our room was on the first floor and the atrium open all the way up in local style of building the noise was horrendous! It was coming from the room under us and also echoing around the building. We could not even hear the TV when turned up high.

Basically the hotel should not have been letting the rooms out to people not attending these parties as it was impossible to rest. They made no effort to mention anything when we checked in either. The management should have a thought for those of us travellers who have paid for a good nights sleep, we have complained to our travel agent and advised them against using this place again. Our guide who was in another part of the hotel at the back was also kept awake until he early hours by one of the parties being held at the back so there was no escape, hence he was tired when driving the following day, which could have been dangerous for us!

Room tip: Don't stay here unless you are assured there are no loud parties booked, there is no escape from the noise!

I wasn't expecting my favorite hotel that I have stayed at in Ecuador to be in Riobamba, but it is. This hotel is beautiful and we had a lovely room -- it had a large, comfortable bed and both a shower and a bathtub. The secure parking in the back is convenient. Breakfast was excellent. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel one night during our visit to Riobamba. The staff was very helpful and even got us a taxi to our next location when we departed. Our room had a modern bathroom with great hot water and shower. The hotel was in a historic building with beautiful gardens and great art. The included breakfast consisted of an exceptional buffet containing eggs and many kinds of fruit. Highly recommended.
