If I were going to Riobamba again this is where I would stay. Housekeeping is first rate. This property is over 100 years old and has been beautifully restored. The rooms are small but lovely and the lobby is a work of art with beveled etched glass, period woodwork, and modern accent lighting that enhances all the special touches this place has. It is also an excellent value.

Beautiful place with covered central patio. Most rooms open onto patio and therefore do not have external air or lighting and curtains must be closed for privacy. Rooms are lovely but small and like in many places in Ecuador the double room had a standard double plus a single - I assume this is to give greater flexibility of accommodation. But this really limits the space. We had not choice but to use the single bed for our suitcases. It would have been lovely with a king size bed and then there would have been room for our bags. Very good bathroom with lots of hot water. Bar is in the ancient cellar and is not bad but the lighting was a bit unsympathetic. Good breakfast.

Room Tip: There is at least one duplex suite which is not just bigger, it's enormous. Otherwise rooms are fairly standard.

Going to Riobamba for Chimborazo or the train, you wii find at Mansion Isabella a very good option. Friendly and helpfull staff in a very charming Boutique Hotel. Good rooms and decent complimentary breakfast. Try the underground tabern.

I spent just a night at this hotel however I wanted to say how lovely it is. The decor is beautiful with lovely wood and dark colours and colonial architecture. The rooms are very comfortable with crisp linens and a very nice bathroom. Also excellent breakfast included!

A top hotel at a reasonable price. In the center, very good service, nice rooms. It 'a colonial-style hotel, ideal for those who love the stylish hotel. I had an amazing time. Near this hotel is the restaurant El Delirio, very comfortable, good for dinner.
