As we stayed here 2 nights we had twice dinner. The staff is friendly, the food OK and the location is nice in a traditional hacienda atmosphere.

Outside of Otavalo, Hacienda Pinsaqui is a lovely 18th-century manor house. It is a hotel and restaurant, which typically serves open dinners and lunches by appointment. The food is very good, especially the local pork platter. The prices are a bit high, since they exclusively cater to tourists. However, we were never disappointed with a meal here during our stay in the hotel. The bar is amazing too, one of the coolest that I've ever seen. I strongly recommend visiting!

We were warmly welcomed by Pedro, our host and one of the owners. This is a very old hacienda--Simon Bolivar slept here! Service was great, as was the food--definitely go for an aperitif in the wine cellar-bar--and if you're a horse lover--this is the place for several centuries of excellent horse breeding and horsemanship. Main rooms, salons, and grounds all reek of history and tradition. Our room was a bit cold--not much on central heating in the old days and our shower could have a used a bit more hit and energy--but it worked. Also good location for going into Otavalo.

Came here for lunch with a large group of 24 people. The menu while interesting the overall quality was poor to very good. Soups and shrimp were on the positive side...fried pork and other local renditions of corn dishes on the other end of the spectrum. Serenade by a local band who were actively soliciting gratuities. Do not like restaurants that do this. If the entertainment is for the restaurant-provided ambience, the patron should not be subject to overt solicitation for tips! Overall dining experience was mediocre, and the chairs were uncomfortable. Wait staff efficiency was also mediocre to poor...wrong orders delivered. Some dishes arrived while others at the same table were nearly finished. Had to ask multiple time to get the drink order.
