We stayed 4 days at the Hacienda Cusin. The place is very elegant, offering both rooms and cottages. The location dates back to 1602, a restored 17th century estate in the Ecuadorian Sierra that remains on beautiful rolling hills and country side where one can ride horses or take a walk in the gardens and sanctuary. It is surrounded by beautiful rose nurseries. We stayed in a cottage among the gardens. It was quiet and peaceful and we would wake to the sites of the hummingbirds in the gardens. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The food was magnificent. It is close to many of the beautiful areas of Ecuador so day trips and or excursions to Paramo, Cotopaxi , the Amazon and Galapagos among more are all possible. Additionally, the location offers many on-site activities such as horseback and Spanish lessons. I definitely plan to return.More
