Obviously you hate to see any bird caged. But...after talking with the staff and getting the history on many of the "residents" we felt pretty good that the care was necessary and very humane. Once we got past that, it was pretty incredible to see the sheer number of raptors they have here. Beautiful birds that you can get very close to. Harpy Eagles, Snow Falcons, Andean Condors, etc. The "falconry" demonstrations are very cool indeed. Oh...and the setting is wonderful far above town with incredible views of the volcanoes and valley. It's worth it for the view alone!
