We stumbled on this place accidentally. Initially, we thought the building was vacant, but don't be fooled, you need to ring the bell. Anyways, what I really want to do is tell a story. My whole trip in Ecuador I had one thing constantly nagging at me, EAT CUY! We were a few days out from leaving the country and still sin cuy. Roberto, the owner, did one of the greatest things for us, we gave him some gas money (and bought him a beer at dinner) and he drove us to a small town north of Otavalo that served cuy, he even got us in the kitchen to watch the entire cooking process. It was without doubt one of the purest Ecuadorian experiences I had. I am overly grateful to Roberto for his willingness to assist us in our great cuy adventure.
