It's a nice place to sit down and have an ice cream or an empanada while strolling the Malecon, but the food itself is only ok. The ice cream is somewhere between a full cream ice cream and a gelato, but they have a lot of flavors. I had a scoop of almond and a scoop of coffee. My nephew had ice cream from one of those little red and white portable stands on the Malecon and the quality was comparable, but of course his cost less. We ordered 3 empanadas of differing flavors to eat at the airport, and they were good at the time, but then we arrived at Miami and had empanadas at Cafe Versailles during the layover and those were amazingly delicious and again, cost less. I can't really recommend it other than as a place to sit and pass the time while getting a cold treat.
