“Typical Guayaquil in the 1800”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

This place has the same animals, infrastucture, and houses that the old Guayaquil. It´s a nice place to visit with tourists. You can eat typical food, visit the farmers houses, etc.

“Must See”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

The Parque Historico is more like a zoo than a historic park and offers the best view of how the coastal mangrove ecosystem works. It has all the native species you would want to see including the Harpe Eagle- the largest eagle on the planet. The monkey pit and the papagallo parrots are interesting to see- kids will love this place because you can let them run wild on the wooden walkway that cuts through the mangroves.

“Very nice excursion”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

The historic park is across the large bridge going to Samborondon Island (where you will find one lush guarded complex with villas after the other (coming from Quito you overfly normally this island, the airport is on the other side on the mainland) The park has a small zoological garden with a green tropical walkway, and colonial mansions brought there from the Malecon river side, showing the opulence of rich cacao and other merchants in the 19th century. Very nice excursion.

“Park has it all”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

I loved the park! And they really do have it all. Animals, history, beautiful scenery and culture. At no charge. This is a self directed tour. You begin by the zoo section where you follow a path through the park viewing all sorts of Ecuadorian animals with descriptions posted about them. Then you reach a historic town setting with guided tours of their buildings. And lastly cutural living quarters with animals. It was a great day and a fabulous way to start my trip in Ecuador!

“Well Maintained Park”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Park highlights some of the natural wonders of Ecuador and especially of the coastal area's unique features. Great opportunity to take some pictures with the wildlife and take a nice stroll through the park.

I enjoyed myself.
