Parque Historico has a very interesting zoo - including many animals from Ecuatorian coast. Also interesting are the historical houses and the local trees (coffee, cocoa and others). They had also guides (in spanish) - and it all was for free!

It rained buckets toward the end of our walk but if you have some time in Guayaquil and want to get away from the main city areas, this park is pretty awesome. There isn't an entrance fee and the place is more than worth the taxi ride from town.

It's very peaceful to walk around the park while enjoying the old buildings, animals and plants.

Many thanks to Guayaquil for making this available.

A small but amazing park full of turtles and iguanas! Never seen anything like it. Don't touch the animals, but you can get very close for some pretty amazing pictures.

We enjoyed this park very much. It is a must see. We saw many native animals, vegitation, historical buildings that were moved to this site, and recreation of traditional homes. We learned a lot about Guayaquil and Ecuador.

We took a private half day tour to see the city and the park. It's not open on Monday's so we wer elucky to get it in on a Sunday with out schedule. It was great to see the animals in almost "natural habitat" and a highlight of our sightseing in Guayaquil, some of the building were interesting as wel plus the ride thru the area gave you a different view of Guayaquil's subburbs.
