“WONDERFUL!”

We booked for our one-night stop-over in Trogir before heading out on our sailing vacation. We booked based on the reviews here on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed!! The accomodations were very clean and perfectly acceptable (small-ish rooms, but totally fine because we were too busy exploring to be spending time in our room!). The staff was amazing - they met our taxi at the city gate and helped us lug our bags through the narrow streets. We even arranged for them to give us a taxi ride to our marina. So helpful!

The breakfast was also perfect - plenty of food with a wide variety for all tastes. We would absolutely stay again and recommend the Villa Sv. Petar to others!

Room Tip: Rooms on the second and third floors have really cool stone walls!

We started our holiday in Croatia in Trogir and the Villa Sv Petar proved an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating little town and further afield. The owners and staff are extremely helpful with hints and tips and there was always someone on hand if we needed advice or help. Assistance in carrying our cases along the cobbled streets was especially welcome. The rooms are fine - nothing special but perfectly adequate for a few days stay and the air conditioning is a bonus. Noise can be a problem (the 5.30am bells were especially annoying) but I would imagine other places in the town are much more noisy than this spot as it is tucked away just off the main tourist streets. It's an easy walk to everywhere in the town and the free parking is very useful if you are planning to hire a car as we did. Breakfast was a good choice of cold meats and cheese with the option of eggs as well. If we return to Trogir we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for three nights and had a lovely time. All the staff were friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. I had a room on the second floor which was compact but comfortable, and the hotel is centrally located in the old town, but quiet. It took me all of the three days to work out the quickest way back to it down the maze of lanes, but wandering about is one of the pleasures of Trogir, and it's so compact sooner or later you work out where you are.

After I left, I had a week on a boat with an evening flight out of Split at the end, and the owners of Villa Sv Petar let me leave a bag with them during that day and arranged my airport transfer, even though I was no longer their guest. I would thoroughly recommend this little gem.

We spent three nights at this delightul hotel in the old pedestrian section of Trogir, a medieval town that was made a UNESCO World Heritage cultural site. The owners, File and his wife Anamaria, are a young couple with deep family roots in Trogir, and they are commited to preserving the authentic character of their neighborhood. They made our stay exceptional and provided an amazing level of personal service. The 4 hotel rooms are small but very tastefully restored, and the 2 top floor apartments have more space. I recommend having File meet you at the Split airport, which will cost no more than a cab and is far more convenient. Trogir is just 5 miles from the Split airport.
The district where the hotel is located is a paradise for those interested in history, art, and architecture. You are just a few steps from the pjaca, the main square, where you can hear Croatian a capella singing while sipping a capuccino. We spent a full day exploring the Romanesque main cathedral in the square, and climbed its bell tower for lovely views over the town.
File explained to us how to take a quick ferry from Trogir to Split instead of taking a bus or cab. The ferry ride itself was beautful, and took about the same amount of time as the bus. The ferry arrives just in front of Diocletian's Palace in Split, so it's very convenient and the setting is dramatic when viewed from the ferry. I recommend staying in Trogir instead of Split, in fact, since it's far lovelier and quieter. The neighborhood surrounding Villa Sv. Petar is full of really great restaurants. I especially recommend Monika's, which has a quiet garden setting and great food and service.

Room Tip: If you require space, choose one of the top-floor apartments. The other rooms were fine for our nee...

Trogir is a great location for a short break, if you are flying to Split, since it is almost at the end of the runway. Under an hour after wheels touching down we were checked in to the Villa St Petar. We were made very welcome (the receptionist had put her chair in the street to make sure we didn't walk past it!). The place was very clean and looks to have been recently refurbished. As we had a short stay in June we were upgraded to the top floor apartment which is bright and spacious with a double bed and a convertable sofa, plus a small kitchen and table / chairs for 6. You do have to be fit enough for 3 flights of stairs, though! TV and aircon (not really needed).
Breakfasts in the small diner were excellent with drinks and eggs done to order
There is plenty to see in Trogir, which is a small island, cobbled streets mostly car free, it could be noisy with scooters etc in the evening but after 11:00 it was VERY quiet! There are loads of places to eat and drink a sort walk away with smart restaurants on the plush west side, cheaper bars just over the footbridge to the mainland. For beaches you need to take a water taxi from the quay - quite cheap. The reception helpfully pointed out where to get the ferry to Split, a much better way to visit this fabulous destination than the bus.
Tip - close the shutters to your room when you go out to keep the solar gain down.
Taxi from the airport 12-15 Euros but you will be dropped at the bridge. Take a moment to look at the map on the poster behind you, Villa is next to St Peter's church which is kind of in the middle of the town. If you wander around you will come to it soon enough!

Room Tip: Book early and avoid July/August when I'm sure it will be in great demand.

This hotel which was more of an apartment was excellent. It's a bit of a walk from the parking area but they do provide free parking. The walk is worth staying in the old city.
One thing to note is call the hotel on arrival in Trogir and allow them to give you directions. Your satellite GPS will take you to the wrong place. They stated that this had been a recurrent problem.
The apt itself was roomy, comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Important in midst of heat wave. Wifi worked well. Owner and employees are pleasant, personable and helpful. They helped us with directions and when I decided to fly out of Split the owner graciously spoke to the car rental company. I had made several attempts to address our change of plans in English and got no where. He took care of it with a short phone call. No problems at airport turning car in ( we were originally to turn in in Zagreb). Breakfast was included and they had an array of choices. You could also get breakfast until noon. All in all a great place to stay in Trogir and I would highly recommend. Trogir is small you can walk anywhere from this hotel including the beach on the connected island.

Room Tip: We were on 3rd floor and plenty of room for 4 people.

We stayed for two nights ia august 2013 and this is one of the best hotels I haver ever visited. It's run by a young couple who have a very high standard of service. The hotel is located in the old town of Trogir. There are no traffic and a lot of nice restaurants in the area. Recommended!
