I can only agree on previous reviews - great location, nice room, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed that the bathroom had a towel dryer, as we got caught in the rain and had soaking wet clothes. When we agreed to pay in cash, we got a good price on the room. Even though the room is in the middle of the old city, we didn't notice any noise during the night.

Trojir is an island city that is also a UNESCO site. It is approximately 20 minutes from Split. Our tour booked us into the Hotel Fontana and we stayed one night. All of us loved this hotel and Trogir itself.

The rooms were of good size, the staff was very friendly, and the hotel is well situated. There is wi-fi access in the lobby.

Cars are not allowed onto the island city so we parked our bus just outside the walls and hand carried our overnight bag to the hotel (which was a brilliant idea since our room was on the 3rd floor).

There are many shops, restaurants, and gelato stands in Trogir and the waterfront is both lively and lovely.

If you are considering a stay in Split, it is chaotic and full of tourists. Trogir was a fantastic alternative and I would plan my travels the same way again.

We have stayed here twice now. Each time we stay was very good. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast comes with the room. It was continental style. The restaurant associated with the hotel is very good. Prices are not bad either. I had a good visit here both times we have stayed.

This hotel is a situated right in the middle of old Trogir. It's a small hotel with very helpful and friendly staff! They were ready and waiting upon my arrival. They also gave me information about the town. Breakfast was continental style, your basics..cereal, musli, fruit, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, etc. Trogir is a great place to stay if you don't like the idea of a big city like Split. There was wifi but it didn't always work. I also had bad reception on my telephone in general.

This is a small little hotel tucked in the amongst the old streets of Trogir. The room was nice, air conditioning slightly noisy at first but settled down, lovely large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant associated with the hotel is very good as well and good value. If you drive here you need to park in the hotel after the turning onto the island coming from the airport and cross over the wooden footbridge to the hotel - you wont get much closer even if you manage to negotate the barriers around the town.

We have stayed at the Fontana several times over the last 10 years and are sorry to see it slowly going under. Maintenance is absent.
The location is smack in the middle of the old town, so there´s nothing wrong there.
But inside..
The rooms are dated and feels distinctly unfresh.
No electricity in the bar, and no contents either. Tv for all practical purposes out of order.
AC making a lot of noise but not cooling the room.
Big cracks in the bathroom wall, as if someone had had a tantrum there.
Nothing to hang your clothes on.
The breakfast is VERY basic, not even egg can be had.
Staff is friendly and doing their best, but we still decided to leave early.
To bad on a place with great potential.
