Owner description: The cathedral, called St. John among local citizens, is the highest building in Trogir, dominating the area.

The cathedral is nice with special attention for the portal portraying Adam and Eve. The climb is not difficult until the last part, when the steps get pretty narrow and some people may have difficulty to go through the opening to access the last stage of the tower (not recommended for people with vertigo or with small children). You will have a nice view of town, the fortress, the canal and the ocean. The fact it costs 25 kuna also prevents it from getting overcrowded.

The cathedral itself is beautiful from both the inside and the outside, of course. Something you probably wouldn't expect in such a small historic town. Not as elaborate design as the one in Aachen or Milan, but definitely a Mediterranean beauty. The view from the bell-tower is breathtaking. (I haven't been on the walls of the fortress, but my friend told me that the view is not nearly as good there as it is on top of this cathedral.)

If you have a fear of heights, you should not climb the cast-iron stairs. You will be scared to death and others will probably be annoyed to have to wait for you as there is too little space for two-way traffic.

The architecture in this cathedral is simply beautiful. There is also an amazing collection of relics in the treasury. The climb to the top of the bell tower left me breathless in the heat and humidity, but the views from the top were breathtaking!!

This may be the finest cathedral visit in all of Dalmatia. It seems to have survived the wars with minimal damage and is architecturally and artistically superb.

Trogir is a beautiful town, and the Cathedral is just as lovely. Enter through the main doors and take note of the intricate stonework. The church itself is not all that opulent inside, but it does have some beautiful treasury items that date back many years, After spending our time inside, we then made our way up the bell tower,The climb itself is broken into two parts, with the second climb being a little more rigorous, The views from the tower are great-they give you a better perspective of Trogir itself, as you see the narrow lanes, rooftops, and the gleam of the water.
