“Nice hotel”
Reviewed October 4, 2009

Lovely charming rooms..decorated like high end B&B's in the US. Like all hotels in Croatia, this one has smallish rooms and absolutely no closet space.. so you are tripping over yourself. (I don't imagine that other hotels in Trogir any better... there just isn't enough space in the city) Staff is very limited, so you need to wait for service, tour ideas, etc. Our group had dinner at the restaurant and we loved the stuffed squid. It was definitely better than the other restaurants we and our group found in Trogir.
Good location, TV in room, very nice breakfast included. I don't imagine that other hotels in Trogir are better... there just isn't enough space.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Hotel Pasike in Trogir. Location is brilliant for exploring this gorgeous Dalmatian town. The hotel is a family run small facility, and it is quaint, very traditional and perfect really. The staff are fantastic and friendly and the breakfasts were good. My only suggestion....in our room the mattresses were very hard. But the rooms were big, with good bathroom facilities and the furnishings were appropriate to the boutique style of the hotel. All up....great spot, good value and quite appropriate for a short stay.

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Trogir (on the island) and only a few minutes walk from everything you would want to see. The hotel itself is really stylish, with large comfortable rooms decked out with period furniture, but with the mod cons of flat screen TV, air con and mini bar as well. You even get complementary chocolates and liquor in the rooms! Big bathrooms, with large high pressure showers.

We didn't eat at the restaurant but noticed it was busy, specialized in seafood, and seemed to have a good reputation with locals as well as tourists. Breakfast was buffet style with a decent choice.

It's a family run place and the staff are helpful and friendly. Its only 5 minutes drive from Split airport and you get a free lift there! So an ideal place to star t or end your holiday. All in all one of the best places I've stayed in Croatia.

This hotel is great. It is in the charming old town center, so is located in a tiny cobblestone alley. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful and the attached restaurant is superb. The rooms are very charming- each room is slightly different as they are decorated with antique furniture. The wrapped pastry left on your pillow is a very nice touch as is the decanter with some sort of walnut brandy type apertif. The lobby is very homey and charming. I loved this hotel, would highly recommend it. I hope to return some day as Trogir is a fantastic town.

  • Liked — The charming decor and the location
  • Disliked — the room keys are a little difficult to use- hard to unlock door.

I have recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Hotel Pasike, an excellent small hotel in the centre of Trogir and can only agree with all the previous excellent reviews about this hotel on Trip Advisor. 7 rooms and an apartment spread over 3 floors with a small terrace on the 3rd floor with fantastic views over Trogir, all the rooms are well furnished with dark wood furniture but with mod cons such as safe, mini bar, air con etc. My room, described as the "little room", was not so little - big enough for a double bed and with 2 large windows, it was extremely comfortable. I tried the hotel restaurant my first evening in Trogir and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. However, due to the large number of excellent restaurants in Trogir, I didn't manage to visit it again as I wanted to try as many of the other restaurants as I could but there are so many I would have needed at least another week in Trogir! The hotel also offers free transport from and to the airport, or free car parking if you travel in your own car. In addition, the bottle of homemade rakija in the room and the cookies on the pillow on arrival are a nice touch. The rakija is particularly recommended if you have problems sleeping! Trogir itself is a joy - lots of small alleyways and narrow passages leading to terraces with restaurants and café bars; lots to see just walking around. Lots of churches, a cathedral, a fortress and fantastic boats and yachts to look at whilst having a glass of wine, I found Trogir to be an excellent place to chill out. Split is easy to reach either by local bus or direct bus; about a 45 minute journey. If you use the local bus (no. 37), it arrives at the suburban bus station in Split which is a 15-20 minute walk into the old town. The direct buses arrive at the main bus station near the ferry terminal so it's not so far to walk to the centre. Although I didn't travel further afield, it's easy to travel to Sibenik and other towns from Trogir. I thoroughly recommend Trogir for a relaxing holiday and would definitely go there again and stay at the Pasike.

Trogir was reccomended to us by a Croatian colleague. This is a magical place, a mediaeval town with narrow alleys and no roads crammed into a small island. The buildings are mellow and honey coloured and the urban fabric is full of surprises. Little courtyards and nooks are everywhere. On the waterfront there is a castle and always at any time one can find several millionaires yachts. The whole town seemed safe and clean. A place we shall return to.

The hotel is in two parts. The Restaurant through which one enters and leaves, is built into what I thought was the original town walls. It is small the staff are eager and friendly and the food is good and at the same time not expensive.

To enter the hotel proper one traverses an old alley about 2-3 m wide. The alley has a view each side through to other buildings. It is not oppressive or threatening, just characteristic of the town.

There is a lobby with seats and upstairs on three floors there are about 12 bedrooms which are decorated in what I take to be 1920s style. Because of the heat the windows are shuttered and the views are more or less the other side of an alley. The rooms are therefore dark. The aircon worked just fine and everything was very clean but darkish.

The bathroom was fine.

The breakfasts were better than average for Croatia and service throughout the hotel is friendly.

The 10 minute transfer from the airport is a bonus and costs nothing.

My only reservations were that the lobby desk is not always manned and also there would be a problem for an elderly person trying to carry cases up the stairs, which are narrow. I think the staff would certainly help if asked.

Great short holiday 3-5 days is right for this hotel and Trogir

We stayed here for 1 night in July, before catching an early flight home. Very convenient for Split airport, only about 5 minutes drive.

Our room was on the 2nd floor, and we did have a few problems with it. Our TV didn't connect with the cable/satellite system and no-one seemed to know how to put it right. The room was rather dark, even with the shutters open, and the bedside lights were very dim to read by. The beds were very hard, and only came with one pillow - no extras in the wardrobe. We couldn't get the wi-fi to work with our laptop, even though the router was right outside our room. You need a password, so we rang reception, who sent it up on a piece of paper, but once entered there were more passwords needed, so we gave up. Oh yes, and our shower leaked to give us a wet bathroom floor.

However, even with all these moans it was a pleasant little hotel, made so by the pleasant & helpful staff. The restaurant was good too. It was a convenient overnight stay, and if our problems could have been sorted out would probably be nice for a bit longer, though I don't think there is enough to detain you in Trogir for more than 2 or 3 nights.
